I’ll have to download the app. Mine was a floor model, the very last in stock. Does it read the chip or just confirm there’s a cheap?

It'll confirm that there is a chip by reading it but the information that is scanned won't be anything useful. When I scanned mine there were just some serial numbers. I don't know if LV has a special reader or if those serial numbers correspond to something. But at least it'll confirm the chip is in your bag.
