Neo noe, Graceful or Arsty

I recieved my neo noe today. I do love the black on the canvas and LIKE the bag, but I do not love. My opinion about this bag is the quality is poor and not worth what it cost. I have WAY better 300.00 bags. I don't think this is going to hold up like my older LV bags. The bottom is no support so if you are traveling, shopping or just in general have to carry a bit it may cause permnant sag. I have a slight sag now and it isnt even full. Also the strap digs in my shoulder like the NF. I should have gotton the Graceful, maybe if there is a next time. The quality just isnt there. I seen so many things. Years ago the hardware would have the blueish wrapping on it. Mine came handle attached and like it had been tested or returned. Maybe a display idk. Pictures to come.

Neonoes dominate my collection. I have 5. The oldest is a 5 year old monogram. Neonoe really became my favorite style.

All of my canvases do not have a permanent sag, and they don’t sag when carrying things, unless it is packed or the bag is heavy. If the bag is sagging and the strap is digging into your shoulder, I’m gonna guess it’s either overpacked, or what little you have is heavy. Organizers, like samorga, might help with sagging, but I wouldn’t really know, since I don’t use them.

Neonoe was worth the price when I first got mine. At the price now, not worth it, unless it’s a seasonal piece you absolutely love.

Hardware, like s-locks, comes with a clear protective sticker now. Strap hardware doesn’t come with any protective stickers. If it’s straight from the warehouse and never been opened/new, straps are usually detached and in a plastic bag, but not always. Floor “samples,” even if never tested by anyone, tend to be fully unpacked, meaning no plastic baggie for straps.

Anyway, you sound disappointed. I would return the bag and get the Graceful instead, since that seems to be the way you are leaning. Definitely don’t get Artsy. If you aren’t happy with Neonoe, you will dislike Artsy even more. Still haven’t fully broken my strap in, and it’s been 5 years. My shoulder can’t take it.

@Arachne911 Totally agree with @daisy913. If you don‘t love it, better return it and get something you enjoy.

I also have the black trimmed Neo Noe and I love it. For me it is a practical bag which fits adequat things and is lightweight. My canvas pieces, Neo Noe and Speedy 30s do sag when filled and I don‘t like it either, which is the reason I have thicker Samorga organizers in my Speedys and a base plate in my Neo Noe which keeps the base flat and sturdy. If you love the bag, but not the sag, that would be an option to improve it. I would not put a Samorga organizer into the Neo Noe because IMO it takes up too much space in its compartments.

About Graceful and Artsy. I dislike both, because they are hobos and I can‘t ever find anything in a hobo bag. If you have shoulder/back issues I would also be careful with those. These are pretty big bags, so when loaded do put some load on the shoulder you are carrying it on. Perhaps something to consider.

Let us know how you decide!

Do you have any glazing issues? Not much glazing at the top edge. Last night I send a video about glaze peeling. So just wondering because this is expensive for what it is. As far as not liking it, I love the look on the shoulder. It is growing on me.

Never had glazing issues, but I tend to rotate my bags often and baby them.

I have a leather recto verso that I forgot to rotate, though. Used it everyday for about 6-7 months, after getting it. The edge glazing has started to peel off on the leather chain attachment… so definitely rotate your items if you want to preserve any kind of edge glazing.

And I just looked up the price of neonoes… when did they break $2k USD? Could have sworn they were still under $2k just a couple weeks ago. I definitely do not think they are worth the price they are now.

I know Artsy won’t work for you, but Artsy is more worth the $2.5K price tag. It’s just that neonoe is always promoted for seasonal collections, so lots of false hype imo.

This really makes me want to sent it back, but nothing else has caught my eye. I wish I would have snatched it up at a lower price. I don't see many around here. Just NF and the delightfuls. My closest store is about 2 hours away so seeing them in person is so hard :(

What kind of bag style are you looking to get? And does it have to be LV?

LV is the one I keep up with, but maybe someone else here can give a rec outside of LV that would fit your needs.

Right off the bat, I would think something with a nylon strap from LV would be most comfortable for you. I’m also thinking a Prada nylon piece would also be good.

I honestly wouldn’t know what to recommend from LV, since the size you seem to be looking for are either uncomfy straps, heavy, or both. Otherwise, I’d recommend On the Go (MM or PM) and Montaigne (MM or PM). I think Sac Plat PM would be good too.

On the Go can be heavy, but it can also be carried by hand. Same thing with Montaigne. Montaigne also has compartments, so it eliminates the need to carry multiple pouches. Downside to Sac Plat is that it doesn’t have much depth, so it isn’t the best bag to just throw items in.

There are a LOT of neonoes on resale, with much lower pricing. I would honestly go secondhand with neonoes now, unless it’s a limited style you love and the cost wouldn’t matter to you.

For what it’s worth… sounds like you just want to get “something” LV. I have been there, I am there and sometimes it’s best to just take a breath, IMO. I’ve looked at Noe..too bulky for me, I love artsy but it’s sooo big. Tried to love Tory Radziwill… nope. Tried Polene numero neuf….also nope. So I’m just enjoying what I have. Honestly the last bag I was super excited about was Loop Hobo. Carrying it now. I have Graceful which I’m switching to next month. Love that bag.

It could be any brand. I really like the shape of this bag. I think I was in shock at the quality compared to what I was getting. Not really sure but I do get happy to look at it.

I'd choose Graceful, among all three, Artsy is beautiful but I wish it is a tab smaller, like 2 inches smaller all sides. Graceful is like a simplified version of Artsy, I can't make NeoNoe work for me, it's difficult to wear.

Shame Neonoe didn’t wrk out for you. I have mine in caramel trim on monogram and I do get a few compliments on it. i think it will sag if you overpack it regularly. I carry IPad with keyboard case plus other nick nacks, perhaps a scarf and sometimes a book. It seems to hold well for 6 months straight with no permanent sagging. I have just switched my bag but keep wanting to go back to NeoNoe. But I need to rotate my bags….
