I would get the bean! I love the clean lines of all the Elsa Peretti items, and rose gold is very popular now (and hard to find rose gold of the correct color). But really, get the one that speaks to you the most and/or which you will wear most often! I see the bean as more of a daily wear piece since it looks like the bow has small diamonds on it, which might require more upkeep.

I am more traditional and the bean is a classic IMHO. I bought the medium silver bean in 2006 and I wear it way more than any other tco necklaces I have. I like the weight and the thickness. In 2012 I bought the medium gold bean 
They are both beautiful, but I prefer the bow. I think the bow can be worn at any age because 1.) it is diamonds, and 2.) it is classic Tiffany. I love the bean, and it is also somewhat classic Elsa Peretti, but it's more abstract and has a much different "feel" to it, which in my opinion makes it less of a "classic' piece.

I've been going back and forth between these two Tiffany necklaces for awhile and still can't fully decide which one suits me better. There's a bit of a price difference but I'm ok with the more expensive one because it's still within my budget. I plan to get it today and I thought I had my mind made up but then I'm still questioning myself. I want the opinion of you fine tpf folks! Please give me your input!! I LOVE the bow. I think it will look amazing dressed up or down.
I actually like the bean better for everyday. I think the bow is a bit dressier. I think I would prefer the bean as I got older, and to me the gold looks more luxurious.Hello all,

Do u wear more gold or white gold?
Maybe get the diamond bow first, as the bean I think can esp be worn in your 40s!

Here's my decision!! I ended up with the bean =) I went to the store so sure that I'd get the bow but when I tried the bean on, I felt more comfortable with it than with the bow. I also really liked the rose gold against my skin. Fingers crossed they'll come out with a rose gold version of the metro bow! Now I get to put the unspent money towards a purse
