^Ugh, I thought your case of the people coming back was a fluke...well the people who tried to break into my neighbor's house have come back at least TWICE at different times of the day. This just makes me SO angry.

So sorry to here your story~~~

I had a diamond tiffany necklace that DH gave me for my birthday stolen from me when we were on holiday inside hotel room (a 5 star hotel as well!!!). I was gone for 1 hours and remembered that I left my necklace in the room and came back was gone... clearly an employer from the hotel stole it, but they would not admit to it. I reported it stolen and the police came- and I filed a report..... in the end my insurance reimbursed me the full amount!!!

I know its not so much the$$$ but the memory behind each piece... maybe if you have insurance you can file it stolen and at least u will be able to purchase new pieces and start new memories.

Oh and have you thought of renting a safe deposit box from the bank???? That is where I keep all of DH's watch collection, and my jewellery that I don't wear often unless for a special occasion...It's only a few hundred a year, depending on the size of the box, and it gives u a piece of mind when you travel.

hugs! I know how you feel. When I was young we had all of my and my mother's jewelry stolen from our house. Almost everything was handmade/bought overseas. Literally only one simple ring could be "replaced." The thief even took my babytooth that my grandmother had set in a gold pendant. Its amazing that you found things on Ebay. When this happened to us there was no Ebay!!
