I have to make a decision between these 2 rings: 2.2mm vs 3mm shared prong embrace half eternity. The price difference is about $1k and ct difference is from .27 to .57. I have a 1.3ct Tiffany’s Solitaire (2.5mm band) and was originally set on 2.2mm bc it doesn’t distract from the center stone but I do think that there will be isolated times that I’d like to wear my wedding band alone (not very often) and the 3mm would look better as a stand-alone. Now, there’s no poor choice because they are both GORGEOUS and I’m grateful to even be having to make this tough decision. What do you guys think? Happy New Years btw! I’m spending a nice lazy day at home researching this hahaha! I’ve posted my ring a lot on here already but just in case, I posted it again for reference. I’m a ring size 4.25/4.5. thank you so much!!

3mm for sure. I'm pretty much certain that is what you'll choose, despite all other responses you might get.
Thank you for your feedback!! Tiffany’s SA recommended 2.2mm as to not overwhelm my engagement diamond but now I keep wondering about the 3mm. Just curious, what makes you say 3mm with confidence loll?

Th 2.2mm was recommended to me too as I was deciding between these two bands, so it’s what I chose. But to be honest (even though I do love my band), I went in wanting the 3mm and wish I’d gotten it. Go with your gut!

Depends on when you purchased your 2.2mm, if around or less than one year ago, you can still contact your Tiffany store or the SA, to upgrade/change to 3mm band. Tiffany is very good accommodating customer's needs.

Turns out that the 3mm is indeed gorgeous in person but it did take away from the diamond. I even tried it on with a 1.4 ct diamond. It looks lovely on its own or perhaps with at least a 2ct diamond. This was the second SA to recommend the 2.2mm to me. Truthfully, you can’t go wrong with either but I stuck with the 2.2mm. I would love a larger embrace for an anniversary to be worn on my right hand :)
