Hi everyone this is going to sound like a really silly question & I know lots of threads have been started about airport security when wearing love bangles.

This will be the first time I have travelled since getting my love bangle at the end of last year, me & DH are going on holiday in 2 weeks time & I really dont want to remove the bangle beacuse it took me a long time to get used to wearing it 24/7 so my question is can airport security demand I remove the bangle if the alarm is set off by the bangle or will they just wand me down if you know what I mean as obviously I wouldnt have the screwdriver on me so I am a little concerned, I really just need reassurance. TIA

I've worn the bracelet through many airports and have set off a few alarms. Once they realize that you can't remove the bracelet, then you are wanded/patted down. My experiences haven't been too invasive but it does take a bit more time to get through security. Hope this helps and enjoy your holiday!

Thanks for replying it's made me feel a bit better

I've only had it set off the alarm once or twice. Someone here gave the advice to try to walk through with your arms in front of you, Frankenstein style. It feels ridiculous, but if it works, why not!

My bracelet almost always sets off the alarm when I go through airport security (no matter how I position my arm)
I just tell the security people that my bracelet is the reason for setting off the alarm and that it can't be removed. They accept that and then wand/pat me down.

I took it off for my European vacation. I just didn't want to deal with extra security stuff on that particular trip. My 17" one always sets off the alarm. Fine for certain domestic trips but not worth it through Europe when I had 2 small kids with me.
