So I just got an email from my girlfriend saying she really likes the David Yurman Crossover X ring below. Should I get this for her then? Or should I try to pick something else out myself and surprise her? It would mean more if I picked it out, but I run the risk of her not liking it.
I say get the ring she likes, she will love you for it. It means a lot since it is coming from you. The Yurman rings are beautiful.

I would go with the Yurman ring she told you about. It sounds like a big hint from her to you. Maybe if you have the funds, get her a pendant to go along with it or a bracelet in the same collection. That way you get her the ring she wants and a little something else you picked out yourself. Good luck!
Turns out that my brother just bought the same Yurman ring for his girlfriend yesterday for their anniversary....haha
