There isn’t any date code as this is a newer bag with a chip. I wanted to know if the tag on the side of the bag that I pictured means my bag is made in France. Hope that helps!
Yes, if it has that stamp it's made in France. Did you get this at an LV store or preloved?
USA Bags in my collection say Louis Vuitton Paris, but I haven’t purchased a Made in USA bag with a chip yet and all my bags have date codes except my Nice nano Made in Italy stamp with chip inside.
OK, I just asked because the lettering on it looks really bad. The made in France part. I almost thought it was a fake. This is just my opinion.
I purchased the bag myself from Louis Vuitton. I have receipt and paperwork. Perhaps it was the way I took the photo, but, I am quite sure that LV doesn’t sell fakes to its customers.
I honestly thought the same thing when I noticed that bit. It doesn't look right.
I don’t really know what to say/do. I purchased the bag directly from Louis Vuitton. I have all of the paperwork/receipt, keys, lock etc. I always purchase directly from them because I enjoy creating my own memories with my bags, so, I’ve never had doubts about anything because all my LVs come directly from the store.
Ok-I appreciate all the feedback. I called LV and spoke with a lovely CS rep. She checked the receipt and verified everything. She also said there’s a chip in my bag which is why there isn’t a date code embossed on the leather. As for the embossing on the leather tab where it says “made in France” she explained that since every bag is made by hand there will be inconsistencies, but, having the receipt is the proof of authenticity. I heaved a sigh of relief!
