Hey everyone been lurking here for a while trying to educate myself. My wifes birthday is coming up and I want to get her something nice. I have a budget of 2 to 3k. Im usually a really cheap person but when it comes to getting her presents I dont mind spending money. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Im pretty sure she likes most things. I dont think shes into yellow gold. She doesnt really have any. I bought her a diamond bracelet for valentines so im staying away from bracelets. I like you selections especially the dragonfly. I do love tiffanys thats usually where I buy from. What do you think about cartier? Ive never bought anything from there and am intrigued by how popular it is on this site.

That is so sweet of you. Does she have a set of diamond studs? You should be able to get a nice set with your budget from Blue Nile, and pick your own diamonds. Many ladies in this forum have purchased them from Blue Nile.

antiqueshopper - that was super fast! love your suggestions.

Antique Shopper always has great suggestions! I swear she knows the Tiffany website like the back of her hand!

Its very sweet of you to do research like this! Im sure the ladies here will help you find something great...

I second the diamond stud idea or a diamond solitare from bluenile. I just got one from there an I love it!

I like the cartier pieces you posted but your right I never thought id say this but you do get more for your money at tiffanys. Now what about watchs? I looked all through there site through your links and was looking at the tank watch it looks pretty to me but I cant figure out what the difference is between the solo and the franchaise besides about a thousand dollars? whats the difference. And again thanks so much. Im going to look through the blue nile site at all the earring too. Im usually only buy things from tiffanys pretty much since I started buying jewelry. I always figured even if you know nothing about it you cant go wrong but it seems my wife always gets something from there. I mean everytime were in the mall (which is alot!) I buy her a sterling silver piece just because so I just wanted to explore the rest of the jewelry world before deciding. Although I do really like that dragonfly piece. And I love using my tiffanys charge it makes me feel important.

I do not know as much about the differences between the Cartier watches; however, many women in this forum definately can assist you with this.

I think Cartier 'tanks' are running about 3500...I know that is a bit above your budget, but they are fabulous and timeless.

What about pearls?

Do you really want jewelery? If you just did a bracelet, what about a purse?

I was shopping on my own today and passed a tourneau so I figured id check out the difference between the cartier watches a tank solo is about 2500 and all id like to say is that was the worst shopping experience of my life I would never buy anything from that store and dont recommend it to anyone. The watch was nice though. She already has a pearl bracelet and necklace from tiffanys and im not sure if she would wear pearl earrings. A purse is a great idea but my wife is sooooooooooo picky about purses and she's been on a kick lately trying to find the perfect purse. This has been going on for months all I know is that she has it down to she wants a YSL purse next. It will probably take a couple more months till she decides which one.
