Need help for wedding day gift for my future wife

I think the Love Bracelet is a fantastic idea, if you are comfortable spending that. I agree with others, though, that I probably wouldn't get her another ring as a wedding day gift (as she will be wearing her new wedding ring). Aside from the Cartier Love Bracelet, I think either a set of Mikimoto Pearl Studs and Necklace or a pair of Diamond Earrings would be great gifts.

Btw, you are so sweet to put so much thought into getting your fiance a wedding day present. Your fiance's a lucky lady!

Is futurehusband still here?

Futurehusband,

There seems to be some suggestions that I continued throughout this thread. We need you to tell us which item you think would work best for your Futurewife. Then, we can give you further suggestions on where to buy it, cost, etc. Here are the items that more than one member agreed with:

Cartier Love Bracelet

Tiffany Ring (Blossom Ring was agreed on by one member)

Mikimoto Pearls

Diamond Studs

Tennis Bracelet

Please let us know if any of these items interest you. Then, we can help you further. (If I forgot any members, I do apologize. I think I hit the major ones.)

I would get diamond hoop earrings. I know some people love the Cartier bangle, but honestly it gets stratched and I wouldn't be comfortable sleeping in it myself. Another idea might be a nice watch, like a Cartier tank.

I have finally found some time to read and look at your links. I really appreciate everyones advice and comments. I am not a creative shopper and its nice to hear from a women's perspective what they would like. I'm sure my future wife thinks much like a lot of you since a day can't go by where she isn't on this site. So I am going to be careful on what I say incase she finds this thread, etc. I am going to go into NY City Wednesday and do some shopping. Can't wait to treat her to something nice. If anyone thinks of anything else, please keep the ides coming. Thanks and much appreciated!!!

Ok....I'm really hoping she doesn't find all this info, but I'm really looking to get her the Cartier Love Bracelet. I saw the price and its a bit more than I could afford, but I can't only imagine her reaction if she were to get one. Where should I get it? I was looking to take the train into the city tomorrow to get one. Should I hold off and what to get a deal? Anyone have any connections? If so let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thanks ladies...

I wish I had a connection for you! When you go into the City, go into CARTIER, and see if they'll give you a discount. I think I mentioned before, I have a few friends that have gotten a 10% discount.......every little bit helps! I would try to cut a deal..........the Cartier Love Bracelet would be the most AMAZING wedding present.......I wish you luck getting a deal!

Ya i saw your earlier post about asking for a 10% discount. Maybe I'll start with asking for 20% and work from there, haha. I am going to get her silver. Is that white gold? She loves having silver bracelets and jewelry on her wrists.

I do not mean to be a party pooper as the Cartier Love bracelet would make an AWESOME wedding gift, but I am wondering how futurehusband will be able to know what size to get her. Anyone know if there is a correlation between ring size and bracelet size?

Futurehusband: Yes the silver looking one is 18kt white gold

She has no clue, but I printed the Cartier love bracelet measuring tool off their website and measured her wrist. I told her to close her eyes while I measure her wrist for a watch. I told her I'm just trying to get options, but have never mentioned the Cartier bracelet. The measurement was 14.5 and the measurement rules said to add 1.5 cm to the measurement for the bracelet. So I'm figuring she is a 16cm. I just don't understand why they don't have a return policy if the bracelet is tried on. If someone is going to spend so much on a piece of jewelry, you should be able to have good customer service....should I not gamble and get it if my measuring was wrong, even though I'm very confident I did it right. She is a tiny person, her ring size is a 4. She has small hands and wrists.

Also I searched online for size 16 white gold bracelets and found some much cheaper. I understand you have to be careful for fake ones or used ones, but is it worth looking into? Some pictures show the Cartier bag and box, etc. to show it's real. Is it worth going that route to save a lot of money?
