This is my first baby so I have no idea what is needed to go in the bag other than the basics... Do you think a 35cm would work? I was thinking the same thing that 40cm can be very heavy!! But then again I'll just have it attached to pram the whole time so maybe not so bad haha

My DDs are turning 4 later this month so I finally brought out my HAC 32 (similar size to B35) to use after 4+ years hiatus just this week. It is heavy when filled and that's why I haven't used mine from the time I was expecting. While yes it can be hung on a pram but because it doesn't have a shoulder strap there will be times when you'll need to carry it by hand or hang it on your forearm or put it on the floor while holding a baby so there's a slight inconvenience and a potential for getting the bag dirty or scratched. I ended up using an LV neverfull GM but most of the time I used the Longchamp Le Pliage because it weighs nothing.

The bigger the birkin the heavier it is. As lovely64 suggested, may be see if you can try it out first. When you have a baby and a stroller, things can get cumbersome.

As for usage, you may want to consider ordering a bag organizer (there are specific ones that are diaper organizers--check etsy.com) to keep your stuff from moving around (I use a regular organizer to keep my leather interior from getting scratched). For day to day you'll probably carry diapers, change pad, wipes, bottle(s)/sippy cup, snacks (when baby's older), extra change of clothes, burb cloth/mini blanket, a soft toy/rattle, hand sanitizer, your own personal items like wallet, sunnies, phone, water bottle, etc. G'luck and congrats!

A 35 will be very heavy too. I suggest you try some on if you have the possibility. A friend has one maybe? Regardless if 35 or 40 a filled up togo/clemence will be super heavy but if it will sit on the stroller mist if the time maybe that wont be a problem?

As for colour I would go with a neutral if it were to be used for diapers/babystuff. If you are planning on using it for other purposes I would pick a colour I like. Which colours do you currently have in birkins?

Congrats on your little one.

The basics for a baby I would imagine to be quite a lot?

Ive just started re-buying my collection (my house got robbed last year and they took my entire H collection - was devastating as it included super rare Birkins/Kelly's) So I currently have black with gold Togo in 35cm, Blue Jean with palladium Togo in 35cm and Orange with palladium Togo in 35cm. I'm looking now for one that I will use as a baby bag and an exotic for me as a present to myself 😄😛.

Thank you so much- you're reply has been super helpful! I used to have a 40cm so I know how heavy it can get but Im sort of thinking that I won't really have to lug it around the whole time and will try to keep on the pram as much as possible. Also thought that as Togo doesn't get damaged so easily as the other leathers doesn't matter too much if I do end up having to put it on the floor occasionally.

I really like the idea of your LV neverfull bag- I was also considering maybe getting the Soho Nubuck bag (in leather) from Gucci but now have set my mind on definitely going for a Birkin! Just need to 100% decide colour and size

I think you need a 40cm, 35 would be too small. Most of my mummy friends have a 40 and just attach it to the pram. Nice and easy!

When my daughter was a baby and I was on mat leave, I used my 40b a lot since it held everything I needed and could be hooked at the stroller or sat in the car. I rarely had to carry it. It is also a great bag for travel, when you don't have to carry it for long.
Mine is purple (cassis) and it is a nice pop of colour with a black stroller and dark enough to not show wear. So I would suggest a darker pop of colour.
Goodluck and congrats!

I think you've convinced me 😂😂 ... Definitely going with a 40B! Going to still see about colour though as I do like the idea of the bag matching the pram! Cassis is a beautiful colour though 😍
