So pretty! I love the rose gold on you. Didn't work for my skin tone, I had to buy the SS/YG. I was like you, debating 26mm or 31mm. In the end, I decided on the 26mm because it's classy and I can imagine myself still wearing it when I am much older. Besides, I think the two-tones with diamonds combo is rather bling, so prefer to keep it elegantly small. I'm plotting my second to be a 31mm SS/WG piece tho :D

I totally agree with you! I'm also planning an all- steel 31mm for my next piece! I'm lusting after my friend's!

Yes, it's pink gold. My AD calls it rose-gold, some calls it champagne pink. I think there's only one shade of pink, but different names, depending on which part of the world you're in.

Some people interchange the names pink gold and rose gold. However, there are different colors, and they are named and on a color scale. If simply comparing 18 K gold, 3N is yellow gold, 4 N pink (a very light shade of pink), a rose gold (has more pink) and is 5N, and red gold is I believe 6N.

Wow that bezel and diamond VI, lucky friend of yours! All-steel would mean smooth bezel though..not my preference. I think we like both 26mm and 31mm... equally timeless. Just a matter of which one now, which one later :D

I made my decision based on thinking 'this is the only rolex watch I will ever buy'. Much as I would love to buy a 2nd piece but you never know some other commitments may pop out.

Hence, my SO asked me which one I see myself wearing 20years down the road. And that cemented my decision get the 26mm.

its funny as my wife went looking at these since I want to get her one for our anniversary this year and her position was that she would see herself using the 31mm more due to her concern that as she ages her eyesight might not be what it is now and she would find the larger face easier to read, she has a 26mm Tag Heuer Link now that she likes but often says she wishes the face was larger. I am planning on getting her either the 30mm Omega Aqua Terra or the 31mm Rolex Steel fluted jubilee with white roman dial

bozack your wife has a good point about the eyesight. I cannot read some of my watches very well. I have a 26mm Datejust that I still can read though, as it is gold Romans on white dial so the contrast is sufficient. Color of dial is as important as size for being easy/difficult to read... I find silver and champagne dials difficult to read.

The AD did highlight to me that the bigger watch will be easier to read when I grow older. But I think the smaller watch seems to be more classic and defintely will see me through te next 20 years. I may not be able to rock the 31mm when I turn 60!

hey carebearz and chessmont, I can see arguments pro and con either one, both are nice and that is all that matters, the rest is about what each person personally values...I have a larger watch myself and find it good and bad, and have had smaller ones and again there is always a pro/con...my big issue now is deciding what to get her...

So true. I was admiring an friend's gold dial with diamond markers and she did mention her eyesight was not as good it was, and so it can be hard to read the time. Its a lovely watch though.
