Thanks for introducing me to this brand! First time hearing of them. The Judi is probably more my style, and great that the bag is made-to-order with customizable specs… obsessing over it nowThe Launer Traviata or Judi might be a good option too.

Oooo, I am liking this one, too… Reminds me of my Givenchy Antigona - I had the bigger size and no longer have it… as it was too large and heavy…. This Prada Supernova may be the updated version to that… nice thing about it is different from what I already have - zipper vs flap closure (coco handle, kelly) or open top (peekaboo)… And we have a Prada store here in Toronto… Will have to check this out! Thanks!I really love the Prada Supernova, especially the gradient white version

Glad to hear it! I just received a little red patent Viola yesterday. It’s soo nice. The craftsmanship and quality seems to be really nice. The only quality issue I have are the clips on the removable strap. You can they’re not made of the same material as the gold-plated hardware that’s on the rest of the bag. That’s such a small thing though and not enough to sway me from ordering another bag this year. I really only plan on wearing the viola as a top-handle anyways. For my next bag I’m deciding between the Traviata or the Judi. Thanks for introducing me to this brand! First time hearing of them. How are Valextra bags in quality compared to Hermès and Delvaux? I bought a wallet from them but I have not yet purchased a bag. I like the style of some of their bags. I have so many Hermès bags already so I’m looking for something new. Does anyone have any brand recommendations?Valextra, and I believe Loewe, make one too.![]()
The manager at the Yorkdale Delvaux is an absolute joy to work with. I’m sure you will have a nice experience! I personally prefer the Tempete but have fun!You and me both! I stay away from heavy bags (luggage being the exception… lol) Yes, I agree the look of the Brillant seems more timeless, and I have my eye on the mini in box… We do have a store here in Toronto, and will certainly test-drive it for ease of use (buckle etc). Thanks again for your insights!
Thanks! Delvaux is inside Nordstrom, right? The manager at the Yorkdale Delvaux is an absolute joy to work with. I’m sure you will have a nice experience! I personally prefer the Tempete but have fun!
Thank you for this! Yeah, I see that the Celine 16 has that “middle age spread” where it bulges out in the bottom like my muffin top… sorry, what has been seen cannot be unseen…. lol… i do have to check out Ferragamo (which we have here in Toronto), and Valextra during one of my travels… thanks again!I am like you - I love a bag with this shape and a top handle. Definitely my favorite style.
Like others above, I encourage you to look at the Valextra Iside, specifically the mini. The mini is more of a regular size, whereas the micro or nano are actively ‘small’. I love my Iside and want another one.

The Celine 16 is another interesting one. I suspect this bag isn’t talked about much on TPF for two reasons: (1) in the regular size it’s a touch matronly looking, and (2) it’s hella expensive compared to other popular Celine bags. In the small and mini sizes I think it’s quite cute and am considering it, if I can stomach the price point.

The Ferragamo bag is one I’ve long debated. I love the way the flap flares out over the bag, but I struggle bc I feel like the buckle is oversized? Still, it’s beautiful.
