Baglover$, thanks for letting me know about your experience with your rose colored Gucci, it was super helpful for me. I believe I'll be going with the Black Small Marmont Tote (unless I have a sudden change of heart for a Black WOC). I like the idea of my first Gucci bag being able to go with most outfits.

Of course! It was either my very first or 2nd luxury designer bag. I should have just done black. Especially living in Canada, light and bright colours just don’t work well for tote bags for all seasons (IMO). I wish I went with black. Honestly Gucci comes out with the cutest small/crossbody bags every years. Down the line when you decide you want something small for nights out, or just want to be hands free during the day, you can just go in and get something then. Maybe there will be something new that you like more! You never know. I hope you love your new bag!

if it were me, I'd go with the tote hands down. I love that bag...but for you, review your collection. for instance, I have a sh!t ton of all black and all white bags...so I will NOT allow myself to buy another all black or all white bag in the foreseeable future, I need to add more color to my bag collection. but you may have lots of color, but not a "match all" bag, so you may need a more "universal staple" in your collection. Also, what will you be carrying in it? how is your commute? do you drive or take public transportation? does it have a zip closure, or just a clasp that is open? think of all of these things about your lifestyle / collection, and make the decision based on that.

That's a lot of fantastic advice, thank you! I'm now definitely heavily leaning towards the black tote.
