@samiyahlk I love stacks. It has to do with growing up with the women in my family wearing and rocking a dozen bangles or more on each arm everyday. What made their stacks work was symmetry. In my humble opinion, I love stacks that share some kind of symmetry and look like they were meant to be together. I would choose an anchor bracelet first for any stack. Once you choose your anchor bracelet, adding pieces that enhance that central piece just makes the entire look more cohesive. Some may find that boring but I am not a fan of anything too complicated. My absolute fave stack are the four perlee bracelets together. They work together seamlessly imo because they are symmetrical.

Or, you can add one deviant piece to the symmetrical bracelets. So, I would add the JUC to a couple of perlee bracelets but I wouldn’t add a JUC and a 5-motif together to the perlee bracelets at the same time. Or JUC and serpenti together. It just distracts and detracts from the beauty of each individual bracelet. Sorry if I am not making any sense but trying to put my rationale into words here and probably failing miserably! :confused1:
I agree with the JUC and the 5 motif. IMHO I feel most Cartier pieces are very edgy and industrial and paired with the Alhambra line just kind of doesn’t go unless we are talking about the LOVE which is just a simple bangle that can go with anything.

@eternallove4bag and @missie1 are experts at stacking. Thank you for articulating this concept so clearly @eternallove4bag.

I’m struggling with my stack as before I used to stack my Vca yg hammered bracelet wth my juc and other delicate pieces . But ever since I started wearing my love bracelet next to juc …the hammered bracelet doesn’t go at all ..I feel like the juc and love, look very modern and simply and edgy whist the hammered looks more intricate and delicate so doesn’t pair well . Dilemma is I usually wear my watch on right wrist …so trying to figure out how to wear my hammered gold bracelet and now wondering if I should have gone for the onyx one as it wud hav looked more modern wth juc and love stack

It’s so funny, I don’t love my YG MOP in my stack and wish I bought the hammered YG. The opposite of your dilemma. I agree with the others, the JUC needs to be an end piece, because it’s lopsided and throws off the balance if it’s in the middle. It looks great as an end piece though.

I actually love that stack with the studded bracelet. Where is that from?

Thanks for the stack advice …I think I’m just having buyers regret over the hammered Alhambra..wish I’d just gone wth stone one like mop or onyx as I originally wanted..but my sa swayed me wth fears bout longevity and damage to stones wth stacking and then I ended up going wth hammered gold ..which I feel only looks good stacked wth other stone 5 motifs or by itself ..I guess the stack didn’t match up wth the vision I had in my head of how it would look ..lol ..if that makes any sense…

My base bracelet has always been my juc …that’s the one that started my stack journey....I think after adding the love bracelet I feel like both are quite strong pieces so it’s difficult to add to the stack ‍…
I love the onyx 5 motif in a stack. It is a neutral, but has contrast as well with the dark motifs.

Yep defo agree …have tried so many combinations and still not liking the hammered yg with both juc and love…I think I definitely need another 5 motif ….lol

Yep…lol need to save for onyx 5motif…haha….I told my husband last month I’d found jewellery peace after getting the hammered Alhambra like my collection was complete ..lol

is anyone at jewellery peace ? Or is there always something on the wish list ?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think an effortless stack cannot be too studied or fitted. There should be the potential for movement, and sometimes that creates momentary mess. . .
Loool ..no I agree my original stack I had the large Shaune leane bangle that will drop over everything creating a funky messy stack ..it looked cool

When I was buying the love that’s why I wanted a bigger size to fall down over stack and not make it look so ordered and I wanted some overlap but my sa was horrified lol he said the love would get completely scratched and ruined and the size 20 I wanted was too big as i could actually rotate it around my wrist …in the end I went with the 19..and now am scared of overlapping scratching it up too much ….

First pic is my stack pre Alhambra and love…personally loved this look….

Second pic was my inspiration pic for the organised messy stack look I strive for ..lol

Thanks :) the studded bangle is from Boucheron it’s the smaller size in yg…x

Funny thing is from the start I always wanted mop yg as my first Vca piece but the S.A was so convincing about not being hardwearing and that the hammered looking better long term etc …now after getting the hammered I really want the onyx…lol

That’s so funny, the SAs all say that, but everyone I know doesn’t have an issue with their mop. I think as long as you don’t go swimming with it, or get lots of shampoo on it, lol. Otherwise, mop is from the water. Now, malachite, that’s a different story. That’s a stone that is easily matted.

Thanks for letting me know the brand of other bracelet. I love it!

Good luck with the stacking. You’ll get it right, keep playing around with the combos.

The pieces in the second stack are much more organic looking. I think that may be why the Love and the JUC don’t achieve the same vibe. Cartier pieces are distinctly edgier and more industrial which I personally love looking at.

You have some great pieces. I think it’s the order of the stack that’s making it all feel jumbled. I would say to try to wear juc behind love. In front of love put tennis then an Alhambra and see how that combo looks.
Thanks for the suggestion of wearing the alhamdulillah right at the back..I definitely need to add extra links to wear it comfortably at the back ..for now I attached it to another gold bracelet from my husband to extend it and I like the addition to the stack ..and the movement of it being looser makes it work …thanks again ..am loving the way my stack looks wth 5 bracelets :)

Will likely still long term get the black onyx as a pop of colour in the future but no rush ..x
