I don't remember how I heard about Nancy Gonzales. I think it was an entry on Purse Blog, so I did some searching (didn't have to do too much) and found the bags at Neiman's. I'm really itching to see then in person and would love to have one. They are beautiful!

I have admired her bags for some time. Exotics don't fit into my life right now (SAHM) which is one reason I have never really looked at her bags for myself. I suppose ostrich is durable, but I don't think she uses this skin.

Even a (sahm) needs a few exotics. I'm one too but they make me feel good. :)

That so many woman talk about Nancy Gonzalez. Can anyone give me a reason why fashion women love crocodile bag???? :sweatdrop:

Probably because you won't see yourself coming and going. Possibly, because like fur , it's un-PC in certain circles. I just ran into her bags in a Bergdorf ad and noted that they were made in Colombia. I looked at her website, and see that she is Colombian, as is my wife. Since I'm looking for a high end bag in the next few months, I like the tie-in and I'll be following her more closely.

I've eyed NG for awhile now. I have a tough time justifying the price of NG for various reasons (does it hold its value? are there too many less expensive styles that look very similar? etc).

The purse I'm eyeing is second hand, but it seems to have been relatively well taken care of. There is rubbing on one side down the entire seam of the purse near the pleating from perhaps something dark coloured. It's obvious on close inspection, but not at all from far away. Maybe it can be cleaned. Maybe not. The price is pretty good for a NG. I'll have to decide by tomorrow morning.

Here's a link to the photo from purseblog

Here's the actual colour, but it looks a bit lighter IRL.

Thanks folks!

I guess there aren't that many Nancy Gonzalez fans out there.

I ended up purchasing the bag. I kept reading about how crocodile bags are investment pieces and this particular one seems pretty timeless.

Perhaps I might take photos and see if anyone has advice about cleaning some of the darker rubbed spots.

I think its a very nice bag and it does seem timeless. I have been looking at NG and exotics lately, trying to branch out and get some variety. Sorry I don't have any ideas about cleaning the color transfer. I hope it comes out.

I just saw this in a Neiman's ad. So fresh and spring looking. God I wish I had a money tree! The detail on this in the close up photos is amazing
