My watch dilemma

You have a point there..I am not the kind of person who likes to change watch and jewelry too often, I want to have pieces that I love and feel myself in...quality is quite important to me(as long it is in my budget).
I like simple timeless pieces, not too screamy=), what kind of Rolex do you have?

i have the same rolex oyster perpetual stainless steel for about 14 years now and I love it. sure, it has some hairline scratches but it holds up really well.

I understand that TAG is also a great watchline and really well made. In terms of resale value, I would really not decide just based on that. if you are feeling the rolex more than any other watch, or the TAG or whichever, just buy that, even if it means saving a bit longer.

That is the watch I've been interested in! I understand that you like it, how has it held up? Do you have any pictures?
Thanks in advance!

I have been using the watch every single day for the past 15 years. It's taken a few knocks - when I fell down a flight of stairs, at the gym against some equipment, here and there, and it's still in one piece. It's a pretty tough watch I must say. But if I could choose again, I would pick a more feminine model, probably the ladies' size with a silver face. Mine is the boy's size.

Here's a photo for you.

Thank you all for your great respond! I will go for the smaller model as I am a tiny girl and maybe with a white dial(just love white and silver).
Evekitti your watch look fab still after all those years! When it comes down to the brands, Rolex vs Tag H, I am feeling more for Rolex as I am an equestrian and they have always sponsored the World Cup series. So when I think of Rolex I see this green and yellow obstacle with a white sire flying over it=)!

I got my father a men's size, similar to mine but with date (Datejust? I'm bad with the model names) silver face also in stainless steel. Mine is a shimmery blue face (at that time I liked blue) but now I would go for silver with diamond markers :graucho: if I could choose again. But if I had no budget constraints, I'd get a Cartier from the Privé Collection:p but that will never happen since I don't print money.

Hehehe!
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it possible to change the dial and markers on a Rolex? I remember reading it somewhere..as a way to "upgrade" it if you want=).

Why didn't I think about that before!! Maybe I'd change the dial to another colour if it doesn't cost too much. Have you decided if it's going to be a Rolex, Cartier or Tag? I think you can't go wrong with any of the 3. Also, you might want to consider if you prefer an automatic or quartz watch.

Yes I will! It might take a couple of months but I just want to be 100% sure before I take the plunge=).
Thank you so much once again for your help!
