My watch dilemma

Hi all of you lovely ladies and gents!

I am thinking about purchasing a new watch and have saved a little..The thing is that I love the design of Tag Heuer's Aquaracer for ladies but I do not know anything about the quality of their watches etc. Is it better to spend even more to get a Rolex or a Breitling? I don't feel really comfortable in spending that much on a watch( I get bad conciousness), although it is an investment...Please help me...

Tag's are great watches. My father had a few Tags over the years, and he loved them. (He does not have them now because he lost one and gave one to his father). I would highly recommend Tags, because my father is extremely harsh on his pieces, and they seemed to take the beatings.

Tag is a great brand, and to be honest, if you're just into the looks rather than the name - it's fine.

If you are worried about resale, Rolex tends to hold its value a little better later on.

I always wanted a Tag watch. They are sportier than my Cartier Panthere and Tiffany Atlas.

Tags are really nice. They seem like "everyday" watches to me. Rolex, Cartier, Tiffany, et al, all seem like "dressier" watches.

My dream watch is a Cartier..but I am in my early twenties and it feels like I've got plenty of time to get one later..but then again=).
I understand that a Rolex will hold its value more but somehow I don't find myself "worthy" of a Rolex, if that makes sense..

You can wear a Cartier in your early 20s. My father bought me my Panthere when I was 21 or 22. I am now 29, and I still wear it. It is a classic.

I don't think Cartier has the Panthere anymore.

My girlfriend has the Tag "Formula One"...black face, diamond bezel. Comes with an extra strap. Dressy or sporty. A really super watch.

Beautiful...I was thinking about the 18K gold. Maybe that one has been discontinued?

It is so beautiful! How lucky you are! Seems like they don't make it anymore, but perhaps, as you said, you can find old stock.
Maybe I can buy the Tag and use for everyday and then save more and buy a Cartier..just a thought=).

Are you looking for a watch that can last you years/decades or do you prefer to keep changing watches every few years? I was in my early 20s when I was deciding between a Tag and Rolex. I chose to splurge a bit more and got a Rolex. I'm in my late 30s now and I haven't bought a new watch since then. With a Rolex you can always sell it and get a new one. Not so sure about the other 2 brands.
