Not a fan of pink but I LOVE your version of the ring! It is a beautiful color and definitely nice that you can make it your own instead of a copycat imitation 
That ring is stunning beyond words. I too have always loved the Royal Ring and had my version of it but it was not nearly as nice as yours; it was a vintage WG ring with diamonds and unfortunately a synthetic blue sapphire as the centerstone. I always wanted to replace it with a nice blue sapphire and then lost one of the diamonds too. Ah, your ring is even nice with the pink tourmaline, I am a huge fan of them and colored stones in general. I now think I would also replace my centerstone with a pink stone either this or a pink sapphire. Just gorgeous and sounds like you got a great deal on it too!
I like it better too -- the royal ring is so dark, the stone looks dead. This one has so much life and sparkle to it.
You were sooo lucky and it does look awesome on you, I guess when things are meant to be they do happen but you sure were more patient than I would have been)) sometimes I have lucked out too when things were meant to be but it was excruciating to wait when I really wanted something.

Windy, your ring is gorgeous! I like yours better than the "Royal Ring," honestly. The pink is stunning, and looks great on your hand!
