I started out loving the Tom Ford Jennifer med sz cross body bag, but as it usually goes, the more you look the more you learn....the med size bag was $2990 and the large which was a few inches larger each way was $3200. I decided to wait for a dept store promo on the bag since I hate to pay full price.
I stalked the sites for a short while and posted on here last wk about Neimans and BG cycling great designer sale bags on and off the site. What was interesting to me, was the SA's in the store really knew nothing about that inventory, as it was only online. Every few minutes the site appeared to be updated. And finally one night, the Jennifer Lg bag appeared on the BG site-orig priced at $3200 and on sale for $1990. I bought the bag, not sure how I would feel with the large sz, but thrilled with the price-and no sales tax for me in CA. Within a few days, that same bag appeared on the Neimans site at an additional 25% off-just one.....and BG matched the price. By this time, I'd received the bag and loved it. I now have a bag I love at a price that is unbelievable to me; $1489 or so. The wide zipper on the strap is a style detail that changed this year, hence the price. I didn't expect to like it, but it def looks better in person.
The leather is soft and hugs your body. The zipper detailing throughout the bag is beautiful and I have gotten lots of compliments. The bag is quite comfortable with a large padded shoulder strap-the bag is fairly heavy but the strap makes it a non issue to carry. The bag still shows up occasionally on sale, and I just wanted to tell anyone looking for a beautiful bag-this one is a keeper. The bags without the zipper in the strap are lighter and can be converted to crossbody....
Notice the small mirror hidden in the strap for checking your makeup-there is a small pocket there to tuck it into.....there are lots of copies of this bag, but this one is really something else.
