The big mama (Speedy B 30 DE) is not in the photo, because this is my little collection of small Speedys.

Speedy 20, empriente in Rose (I think that is the right color name)
Speedy BB in natural vachetta (just received and might do a separate post when I have time), and
Speedy Mini HL (the baby of the bunch).

I very much love the Ink but won't try to purchase on unless/until I can talk myself into selling my Montaigne BB. I've been chewing on that for some time, but cannot quite get there.

Happy to answer comparison questions. Love them all.

Yes it is untreated vachette but it is not as frightening and it sounds.

It actually feels like it’s got some kind of treatment on it, some kind of protectant on it. I confess I am not 100% certain what’s going on. It’s not like nomad which to me feels finished. But it also doesn’t quite feel like vachette handles exactly.

I just bought it preloved. I’m going to do a post on it at some point and see if other people with this bag can contribute more information about the leather.

It might be Blossom -- although it looks a little more pink than Blossom

Hi!! Love the mini speedy HL! I’m looking at one myself on eBay. But it has a moldy smell so I’m not sure if I can get that out. Did yours have any smell when you bought it? They’re such treasures!!

Mine did not smell, but for the right price, I would give it a chance. I've never used those charcoal packs, but I'd be willing to give it a try.

For me, what was most important, was finding the original model (with the single LV on the front rather than 2), and even more important, that the original leather was all there.

My leather was quite dirty, but it cleaned up well.

Alternately, some people have all the leather replaced and I'd have gone for that also. It's opposite of what I said below, but for different reasons, I'd be happy with either option.

Or is it? I said it was untreated vachetta, but it isn't really. I don't know what is going on with it and cannot find any references to it on the internet. I think it has some kind of finish on it. It is different from other vachetta I have.

I finally got the speedy bb, it’s so pretty !
The vachetta has ’coating’ on it, just like the strap of Mirror Handle Trunk. So the vachetta won’t get water mark easily and I don’t think it would get tanned under sunlight.

I'm so excited for you! Where did you find yours? We should do a twinsies post.

Despite the coating, mine came with some pretty good water marks. I cleaned with LMB vachetta cleaner and it made it better. After some time, I'll repeat the cleaning process and maybe it will get even better.
