My SA has asked me the Golden question last week! But she mentioned that I should be able to get one before year end.

Told her my exact two choices and she told me that they are very challenging. She asked if she can offer me something in similar colors and if I’m fine with her surprising me (with the color). Of course I said sure! But I did share with her what colors I definitely don’t want. :P :P

time seems to pass slowly while waiting……

Hope you get it soon! I told my SA pretty broad terms (like neutrals, preferred GHW but would consider PHW with the bag), and I said I was willing to get a B35 but she steered me away from it since she said it's too big for me (I'm 5'2). I ended up getting a B30 in stain with PHW, which is even better than what I imagined (I was thinking gold or black). Keep developing your relationship with your SA, they will keep you in mind!

Thank you!! I certainly hope I can get it before Dec… I am waiting for 3 items to arrive so I’ll definitely have a few chances to interact with my SA.

Etain is also on my top 3 list:P. I agree with your SA, B30 would be ideal for you…

I really want to buy a Birkin directly from the Boutique and not second hand. I told my SA I would take anything in any color except Pink/Rose or Brown/Nude colors as I have those colors already. I buy small items all the time and my SA will go weeks without even responding to me when I want things :( I buy Orans, scarves, twills, CDC's all the time. So I will text him about Orans I want and barely get responses. I highly doubt id get a Birkin at this rate. Or is this how it is? I really would love a new bag.

May I be very frank? I think with the current levels of competition and low stock, you might need to really ramp up spending, as buying many small items will required a lot more time to reach a spend level at which your SA can then request for a bag to offer you. I would consolidate wishlists and send one request for multiple items. Otherwise the recommended departments to explore are Fine Jewellery, RTW and Home, especially that Saint Louis lamp. I am sorry to post this but it seems your store is really playing the Hermes game.

one request for multiple items
+1000, I try to make it easy for my SA to accommodate my wishes as quickly, efficiently, and effortlessly as possible, so if I want smaller items, I roll them together. Every SA relationship is different, (for example my Dior SA texts a lot); but your H SA may not have the time to repond to every individual request bc he has to juggle numerous clients, many of whom buy larger items and amounts. If you are both high maintenance (in terms of time and effort, and texting counts) and you want to buy in smaller increments, it may take some time to get a quota bag. This is of course only my opinion and experience (I buy both boutique and reseller since 2008), but YMMV.

I only buy what I love when I see it, and I don’t worry so much vis a vis prespend. However, my numbers are relatively high per visit and that makes it easier for my SA to make a case to his SM should something he thinks I would like come in. Since SAs do not make money on BKC, they have to make their huge sales goals on other merchandise, and thus, their time is valuable. (I also don’t think you should take it personally if you don’t get a text back from any SA as they may be busy; in a meeting; on vacation; with a client). There is also a deliberate shortage of quota bags for thr remainder of the year. (numerous threads on TPF discuss this issue with respect to Hermes and Chanel) So, everyone may have to wait a bit longer.

I agree with you. He contacted me yesterday to special order some Orans that are no longer offered. That was surprisingly nice :) But when I asked about the Birkin, it was crickets again lol. I will take your advice and make one large list. Thank you.
