Katev rehabbed a metallic Zoe: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/us...mouflage-damaged-metallic-leather-722169.html

I think it is trickier painting the body of a bag, and getting it to match, than just the straps.

I've painted a whole Tory Burch hobo before. I really liked the results! But I didn't match it. That time I used paint right out of the bottle and changed the color of the whole bag by a shade. Maybe I need to post that one too. I took pics but keep forgetting to share lol

Please post! Usually acrylic paint has a different sheen than leather and is really obvious in large areas. It is also really hard to hide your brushstrokes and get it on evenly.

Thanks for the link! I have been searching for other metallic rehabs on TPF, to no avail. I think I must have input the wrong search criteria.

Although I wish I could give the whole bag a once over, I would be content with just rehabbing the straps. This appears to the most suitable fix for me. When it comes to rehabs, I am not a brave as Katev (or, you ;) ).

I will :) The trick is LOTS of extremely thin coats with drying in between. I did a very large pebbled hobo in off white and it took me weeks but was totally worth it!
