Will you have it redone then ? Perhaps it would be better to go back to your original jeweller then.![]()
congrats the ring is gorgeous!
I think the design is nice...but its not what you wanted, i agree that you should have her redo the ring and she should not charge you the second time if she wants her reputation and business to remain intact. consult with the jeweller again and tell her this is what she needs to do and your not happy. hopefully she respects her clients and will work to fix this design so thats its up to your standards. keep us posted!
I love the evil eye...but that doesn't look like an eye![]()
The diamond choices are nice though!
I would have stuck with your original choices. I don't think making it rounded makes it more masculine...
I think it's a very interesting and unique design!
But two things: the setting would be a constant worry so I would have that sorted out immediately. Second, if you don't like the design, no one else's opinion will really matter, and it seemed like you disliked it at first sight, so I don't think the design will grow on you.
Hopefully you and your jeweler can come to an amicable resolution.
I don't see anything eye-like about it. It's very pretty, but doesn't seem to be what you wanted. I'd keep trying to work it out w/ her and I hope you can come to an agreement.
it's pretty, but i don't like the big open middle, and i also don't think it is a man's ring at all.
I like the design, but it does not look like an evil eye, unfortunately. I think you should redo the ring to make what you wanted in the first place. Demand that the job was not done to your specifications and that you need the item changed. You should not have to pay a large fee for work that needs to be redone.
I was looking up evil eye designs- and there are tons. I do not understand why she couldn't make you the ring you wanted. IMHO I think it would look evil-eye like if she tapered the sides. Here are some examples:

It's a unique design, but I'd be concern with the diamond being insecure. I hate to say this but I don't think the jeweller is competent. It doesn't look like a difficult design to execute that it requires extraordinary workmanship. Perhaps you could reach an agreement with her to redo the mounting of the diamond so it doesn't move?
Would you consider bezel setting the diamond? It may look more evil-eye like then.
