I know this is an older thread but I just got a new to me middle school MAB with siggy HW and gold crackle bottom yesterday. Now I have two of these...my blue ocean and this. @Jeepgurl76 posted it the other day in the finds thread. I got it on Depop for $25! It showed up yesterday and just like the ad stated the lining was a little dirty and can easily be cleaned. I didn't realize how easy it was to clean! I pulled the lining out and ran it under the kitchen faucet, added some Dawn dish washing liquid, scrubbed for less than a min, rinsed, wrung out the excess water then got my blow dryer out to get most of the moisture out.....then just left it with the lining out overnight. Voila! Looks brand new!! Which makes me wonder why anyone would let thier linings get so dingy and not do anything about it?? It took literally all of 5 min. from start to finish! Oh and I did the @Shelby33 handle repair hack on these as well. They weren't too bad but now they're better!! I also added my strap from my other black SW MAB. Hang on while I load the pics.....

Sigh. I tried that with the birdie lining on a Nikki and it didn’t work. Still dingy.

I think this is such an amazing bag, and RM was the only one to do it. I would LOVE to find the Magenta gold bottom bag, any size!!!

Oh wow the bag looks fantastic and it was such a great deal! Glad to see someone snagged the bag. It always amazes me with bags that have such easy to clean linings remain so dingy and sell their bags that way. MAB looks good on you and love that you added the strap.

It amazes me how dirty some people's linings even get! Like, wth is going on in there? Makeup orgies?

I know....I have my makeup in a pouch and rarely carry a water bottle. I do sometimes have a pen in there but haven't had one leak

I never carry water bottles or pens. Don't believe in water and depend on others for pens haha.

Yes especially at the very top! I had the same problem.

one of my bags has multiple pen marks inside from the previous owner. I don't know if a pen exploded or she did it in multiple increments

I don't mind pen marks as much as make up spills.

once I have stuff in my bag, I don't pay much attention to the lining.
I do, however, spray the linings of preloved bags with alcohol/water when I first get them even if they look totally clean
