It can fit over the shoulder but it is a little bulky under the arm so it is best to carry it under the crook of your arm or handheld.

OMG. Bagshoelover. That is a beautiful erame bag. I love bags with pockets more than bags without. Have you used the pocket yet to store your stuff? Is it more of an everyday bag or for special occasions? I am wanting to buy an alma later on but I wished it had a pocket like that so that I can slip things in right away.

The pocket in the front is good for storing keys and change. The bag os actually good for everyday use as it can store a lot. I put a checkbook, agenda, a large wallet and make up and lots of little things girls use and there is still a lot of room. I do love the bag.
