Yes, I've contacted them twice........they are mailing me a form which it sounded like they would reimburse me for a deep conditioning treatment that I had yesterday at my salon.

My hair stylist said it wasn't as bad as she thought but she did say it would take about a year for me to get back to the condition it was in prior.

It would be great if they reimburse you for the treatment you had at the salon, but I agree with everyone else...it's still totally unacceptable for a product like that to be on the shelves! It definitely speaks volumes about the product, considering your hair sounds like it was in excellent condition before you used that crap.

I can't believe it's still going to take around a year for your hair to get back to its condition prior to using the horrible product! I'm so sorry this happened to you! Hopefully your hair's recovery will be faster than the stylist said.

was thinking of getting, will never touch the stuff now

sorry to hear about your hair that is scary and OP your hair looks so nice can only image what it looked like before you did this treatment

Update: The company sent me a check for $122 refunding me for two deep conditioning treatments from my salon and for the purchase price of the product.

My hair is getting healthy again and $122 didn't begin to cover all of my expense.

but it is a lesson learned on my part and some extra money for deep conditioning products :)

I'm glad the company at least went that far to help you out. But I can totally see how that's nowhere near enough. You struggle so hard to keep your hair beautiful and healthy, and one crappy hair products ruins your years of hard work. I don't think any amount of money can fix that, but still...it is nice to see the company try to help you out a little bit.

Thanks for the warning, and sorry you had to experience that! I've been thinking about trying this - I definitely won't be now! I've never had great luck with Garnier products anyways.

Wow :amazed:...glad the company at least did something but what a scary story! I bought this product a couple of months ago, got home, read the reviews and took it back the next day. The reviews terrified me..there was one about the smell so i opened it and smelled it and almost fainted..the smell was so strong..i think it smelled like rotten eggs lol. I hope your hair got better by now!! :smile1:

OP, I had a pretty similar experience...though my breakage took longer. It did take about a year to get the condition back. I simply cannot understand why this thing is still on the market. I've switched to the Brazilian Blowouts, and my hair has never looked better.
