All I can say is I wish I would've read the reviews before trying this product. There are so many bad reviews I wouldv'e never even considered buying this product.

The experience last night was TERRIFYING.

The product is by Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Blow Dry Perfector. It's suppose to last up to 7 shampoos...tame frizz, stay smooth and shiny...easier, faster blow dries.

My hair WAS in excellent condition......no split ends, nice shine ~ very healthy. I go to extremes taking care of my hair ~ taking hair vitamins, hair masks...etc.

I put the product on my head and when I started rinsing it out chunks of my hair were falling out. I'm still freaking out about it. And then when I started blow drying it I had so much hair breakage I was starting to wonder if I was going to have any hair left on my head. My brush was full of hair.......so full I had to clean the brush a few times.

I was almost in tears watching all my hair fall out. Right now I'm afraid to wash it for a few days fearing more hair will fall out or break.

I color my hair and I did read the warning section of this product and the box states this product is "suitable on color treated hair" 14 days after coloring......and for me it's been a few months.

I've attached a picture of my leg so you could get an idea of what breakage I was experiencing. Both my legs were covered ~ I'm still freaking out just looking at the picture.

Here are some reviews on Amazon ~ even one person giving it a negative 58 stars.......

OMG-- I have been looking at this, but now I will just go the pro way and get the keratin treatment.

I am so sorry this happend to you, I would be in tears as well if my hair was falling out. I would contact the company.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I almost bought this a few months ago and didn't, I went home and read reviews and was horrified!
Did your hair fall out at the scalp or is it all breakage?

Thank you for putting your review out there, there is clearly something no right with this product.

Tracy ~ I have both breakage and full hair strands that fell out in clumps.

When I was rinsing out step #1 my hair was falling out in clumps and I was in grave fear I wasn't going to have any hair left.

The breakage is quite extensive.........

I'm just lucky I guess I have very thick hair ~ fine hair but lots of it.

I posted an example of the piles of hair that lined my bath tub.....

I also posted a picture of my hair after it was dry.....which I will give the product some credit that it did straighten my hair but extremely distructive.

I look in the mirror and it doesn't look terrible today ~ I'm not sure why......but the breakage was EXTENSIVE and the hair falling out in entire strands was EXTENSIVE.

It was so bad I took pictures.......I normally don't take pictures but this was beyond accceptable for any product to remotely do this to anyones hair.

The 2nd picture is the end result.....yes ~ it did blow my hair out pretty nice.....but not with the amount of breakage and hair loss is this product worth it.

OMG, how traumatic! Thanks for sharing.. I'll be sure never to get this product. Have you called the company to report your experience?

Wow OP I'm so sorry that this happened  I would contact the company asap! They can't have a product like this on the market.. especially since not everyone goes online and reads reviews before purchasing.

I think either people love it or they have results like I had last night. There are so many reviews out there with hair destruction from this product.

I did follow the instructions exactly how they were stated.

I would not be so livid if this product caused just a little damage....but my hair was falling out like Chemo patients........not acceptable!!!

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. This thread caught my eye as I was contemplating getting this for my daughter, 13 y.o. I had read a lot of bad reviews on makeupally.com that changed my mind. They should take this junk off the market.

OMG.. that is terrifying! I don't even think I have that much hair on my whole head! I've seen this product while walking through drugstore aisles and it's caught my eye more than once so I'm sooo glad you did this review. I would definitely contact the company to complain and maybe even file a report with the FDA.

On the bright side, your hair looks fine in the photo!

Oh my goodness, that's horrifying. I'm so sorry, OP!!

I have not had good luck with Garnier hair products. They're anti-flake shampoo burned my scalp! (like, actually burned it - it was so painful and disgusting, omg)

Please say you have reported this to the maker.

Yes, I've contacted them twice........they are mailing me a form which it sounded like they would reimburse me for a deep conditioning treatment that I had yesterday at my salon.

My hair stylist said it wasn't as bad as she thought but she did say it would take about a year for me to get back to the condition it was in prior.

Thanks for the warning, because I was eyeing this product. Be careful with salon straightening, too. I had the Coppola Keratin blowout and lost a lot of hair. So much, in fact, that it stopped up my tub drain -- twice! I know some people have had good experiences, but I'll never do anything like that again.
