Hahah good reminder to go ahead and change that....for the past 9 months or so, the diamond from my engagement ring has been with Brian Gavin Diamonds being recut- It was GIA ExExEx but the proportions weren't ideal, and even though I am losing carat weight in the recut, it makes me feel like I'm getting rid of bad energy from the marriage and giving new life to the diamond. I always wished that it was a more ideal cut and I want feel like it's a different stone that the one I wore in my marriage, while still holding onto the good memories and that part of my past. When the recut is done, I will then have it set in a pendant. After the recut it should be a little over 1ct (it was 1.25ct before) which I think is a huge pendant size for me. I'm not sure if I'll sell the setting or melt it down.

That is a wonderful idea. Can't wait to see pics when it is completed.

What a great story, Fioratura...you go girl! [emoji6]
Just a gorgeous ring to go with your new and fabulous life! I love OEC diamonds, too. Can't wait to see your new necklace...have you decided on a style? I know Brian Gavin makes a DBTY style necklace for a solitaire that several members own.
Keep us posted...........

Your ring is striking, very beautiful setting and it looks lovely on your right hand. It sounds as if you're a strong, positive young woman. Wishing you future success and happiness going forward.

Thank you SO much to all of you, not only for your lovely compliments, but for your well wishes for my future! I really feel the love!

On Friday, I got word that after 9 months of recutting, my diamond for my new pendant is complete. It's currently being graded by AGS for its brand new and improved stats, and then it will be set into its new pendant home. It's a little over 1ct, and I went to T&Co a while ago to try on pendant styles there because I couldn't decide between a DBTY bezel style, or a 4 prong fixed style. I love bezel pendants, but for a stone of that size, it made the stone almost too large for my taste.
