So no, I never thought I would be here, divorced before 30, 14 years after meeting the man who I thought was the "love of my life". That being said, divorce has been an incredibly positive change in my life. I wanted to celebrate and commemorate the sale of my house, the finalization of my divorce, and this new chapter with an amazing right hand ring, and I am obsessed with my new treasure!

It is from the 1920's and in incredible condition! The platinum filigree is hand cut, and the detail is super crisp! The three center stones are OEC's (H, VS1-SI1), the center diamond is .5cts and the two outer diamonds are .25cts. There are pretty decent sized single cuts all the way around as well.

I have never owned old cuts before and I LOVE the way the sparkle...they throw a very different sort of fire than my ExExEx MRB ever did...even more than my AGS000 studs! It felt amazing to be able to spend my own money on something that makes me happy, and every time I look down at my hand I'm reminded of my independence and the fact that I can make my life whatever I want it to be.

It is beautiful. Now what are you going to do with the ring in your avatar?
Hahah good reminder to go ahead and change that....for the past 9 months or so, the diamond from my engagement ring has been with Brian Gavin Diamonds being recut- It was GIA ExExEx but the proportions weren't ideal, and even though I am losing carat weight in the recut, it makes me feel like I'm getting rid of bad energy from the marriage and giving new life to the diamond. I always wished that it was a more ideal cut and I want feel like it's a different stone that the one I wore in my marriage, while still holding onto the good memories and that part of my past. When the recut is done, I will then have it set in a pendant. After the recut it should be a little over 1ct (it was 1.25ct before) which I think is a huge pendant size for me. I'm not sure if I'll sell the setting or melt it down.
