I have this bag in black (it may be an updated style but it looks very similar) and the magnet does not keep mine closed. I likely have too much stuff LOL

Mine doesn't stay closed either but I don't mind. It will if I make sure the magnet is engaged but most times I don't bother because it's easier to toss stuff in my bag when it's open. I'm in & out of it all day.
