I have no idea why people think this is a “defect”. I bet if you put your stuff in it & use it like it was intended to be used it will go away. It’s on the bottom. The weight of your things should even it out with use. This forum can make people batty. I’ve never scrutinized any of my purchases the way I see here. Yes some things truly have real issues...some widely known & discussed but honestly most do not.

If you had seen the bottom of the pochette at the boutique would you have left with it? I the answer is yes, then keep it. If the answer is no, then return it. I now look over any new purchase to make sure I like the bag/slg before buying, and that includes wonky stitching and clean glazing and perfectly working closures and reasonably unscratched hardware. As I've said before, some SA's get annoyed and I've had one walk away from me while I did it, but I couldn't care less. They aren't the ones buying the bag, I am.

I would not have left the boutique with that bag due to the stitching because it would bother me. Might not bother someone else.

But since you have the bag at home now, I'd consider the advice of the heat, stuffing the bag with tissue, etc. If it looks great after that, then keep. If it's still puckered and wonky, then be sure to return it before it's too late. And try not to get caught up in the scarcity hype. Easy come, easy go. There is alway a new bag on the horizon.

Louis Vuitton uses (and has for many, many years) different thicknesses of canvas to accommodate different designs. Certain items have also a backing layer between the canvas and the lining, which affects the perceived thickness. This has nothing to do with “cutting corners” as some members claim.

The true issues of quality seem to come from design flaws that prompt premature wear and tear, such as folded canvas corners. This is where people should be more vigilant.
Thank you! I never would’ve known that the canvas might be different in different bags if you hadn’t explained it. I personally do not look back and check what the bags made years ago looked and felt like, but it’s difficult to ignore all these rumors that some old bags feels different in comparison with the same style bags that were made recently. Interesting that the same goes for other brands too - Coach, for example. A lot of talks about the leather quality then and now.

Was reading the posts in a thread re this bag. So I brought mine home today and was happy until I read about the quality issues. I didn’t inspect the bag prior. After going over it I did notice the thinness of the canvas. On the larger Pochette like others monitored I see the puckering on the bottom. And I noticed the zipper area looked stretched. So I’m wondering if you exchanged your bag because of this did you ever get a well made replacement in a reasonable time. I’m trying not to be upset but I think I am.
My Mini PA also does stick out at the bottom. This freaked me out, but after reaching out to another member who ordered and received theirs the same time as mine, it seems to be normal and not a defect. If you have a picture, I can compare it against mine :)

Mine looks the same, and if I put something heavy like a powerbank the bigger pochette slants down and the zipper part looks odd. Is it a design flaw or it just really happens on a bag like this?
I don’t over stuff my bag and Carry only the small necessities.

I know this post is a bit old. But I just exchanged the multi pochette bag and didn’t realise the large pochette has a big dent on the bottom. Ahh didn’t want to have to go back again but it is quite noticeable for me and after paying $4000 i don’t want to live with it.
