Mulberry poor quality issues

Just bought a family member a small Farringdon Messenger, and it's a very nice design and well made (it seems). Excellent leather and hardware. Clearly OK in terms of QC, time will tell on wear.

NYC store told me that all bags are now back to being made in the UK (do we know this to be true?).

Definitely NOT true. According to Mulberry over 50% of bags are UK made, but I’m not sure how recent those figures are.

Not true base on the items I see in stock - seems to be the minority being made in uk.

You can check the item description on their website. Many items are made in Türkiye and China. However as others have stated, that's fine if the quality control is there.

I personally felt if I am paying premium money already, I would prefer my bag to be made in its original country. I tend to buy items as souvenir when I travel there and felt funny buying things that actually is not produced there. Just my personal preference though.

Totally understand Diamond. I’m pretty sure all of us UK folk would prefer every Mulberry bag & SLG to be made in the uk too…
