MissCara I love the stone, my husband gave me a rubellite for Valentine's Day back when we were dating it is a happy gemstone. I love the size of yours.

Gorgeous rubellite ring for a gorgeous new you! You deserve a lot of credit for your weight loss. And you deserve a treat for it, too! Heck, after losing about 80lbs, from a size 18 or 22 in jeans, to a size 4, many years ago, I bought myself a jewelry treat--and, for many years, every February 15th (my anniversary of finding out I was diabetic, hence going on a diet), I would buy myself a small, gemmy treat to reward myself for keeping it off. I no longer do this, as I've gained about 15lbs back over the past 7 years (marriage!). Hmm...now, if I went on a diet to lose those extra lbs. now, :D

Wear it with pride! You've accomplished a major goal, and should be so proud of yourself!

15 pounds over 7 years is still an amazing accomplishment, and I am SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Thanks, but I don't that GAINING 15lbs over 7 years is much to be proud about! LOL  (Maybe you meant the 80lb-loss 15 years ago?) Now, if gaining the weight is an accomplisments, do I get to treat myself to my sparklies???? Heck, I'll go for 50lbs, if so!!!

BTW, I love the name Cara. Such a pretty name, with a lovely meaning. (I also have a sweet little kitty I named Kara. This is what middle-aged, childless women who want to be moms do--they name pets the human names they would've named their kids!)

No, I totally mean that 15 pounds regained after an 80 pound loss, over 7 years is well below what the experts say to expect, and I'm super proud of you.

:)

And thank you! When I was little, I just wanted a "normal" name, but now I love it, as a grown-up.

I didn't know that! I'm still angry with myself over gaining it, and not just for cosmetic reasons: I'm a type II diabetic, and weight control is a big part of blood sugar control.

I know what you mean about names as a kid--I hated mine--still not crazy about it (I wanted to be named Sarah). I've always loved the name Cara.
