love both and I have a beige bag..but somehow the black is the one that seems to get more use.. Just depends on your personal style and wardrobe.. and also, to some extent, your climate.

Depends on your wardrobe, location and personal taste. Black is the perfect neutral for me - someone who wears black daily, lives in the Northeast, and is LOVES to dress in classic dark clothes. Look at the color bags that you usually carry and open up your closet and look at the main colors in your wardrobe. The choice will come naturally to you if you are like most women who buy predominantly one color theme. Good Luck with your choice!

I like the beige, but it would get dirty with my lifestyle.
It would actually suit my wardrobe really well, but I use pink usually where beige would otherwise suit.

If it's for special occasions or not everyday- then go the beige. It is alot prettier than the black.

I saw a beige caviar jumbo in a Chanel store yesterday, and the tears around the stitching show so clearly. Each time a thread goes into the leather, some cracks are inevitable around the stitch, but on the beige it showed up so clearly because the underside of the beige is white/gray, not beige.

I'm not sure if the bag was returned or something but it really put me off. If you are getting a beige, make sure you pay attention to the stitching.

To me, it depends entirely on the season. In the fall/winter, black is hands down my most used neutral color. However, I wear a ton of bright colors/prints in the spring/summer, and never use black bags unless it's for an evening look... so beige for sure.

If seasons aren't a factor for you, then maintenance may be. I rarely buy anything other than caviar, but even so, lighter colored bags do require more maintenance. I'd probably get a black bag just for that reason haha... so if I had a choice between beige and black AND I had no seasonal color preference, black it is. :smile1:

Both are basics to me, but I tend to use black bags more. Once a light colored bag gets any marks on it, I start getting more careful of using it and eventually never use it.

Black and beige are both neutrals and I just love a beige classic flap with an all black outfit!! But if I have to choose between black and beige.. I usually reach for the black classic flap! Black is less maintenance and it matches with everything!
