Mono Artsy MM/GM owners - Do you ever wish you got the "other" size instead?

I just bought the Empreinte (MM) and Im having second thoughts about the size. Its a gorgeous bag, but its kinda small for 3113.99 (cant forget the 99 cents). I think Im going to take it back and get something in a GM size. Its soooo gorgeous, but Im a big woman and I need a big bag. :( Soooo sad

Are you thinking mono or azure in GM? I am debating between GM and MM in mono. Everyone keeps saying the GM is massive. But once it is filled perhaps it looks smaller and slouchy?

The Mono Artsy GM. Its beauty doesnt compare to the Empreinte, but the size difference is noticeable to me. The Mono is not as fabulous new as it is "broken in" and I dont want to wait. lol I told my brother and he said keep it and gave me the "treat yourself" speech. lol My guy friend said "Take it back. That was a reckless purchase." I think Im going to get what I originally went in for...or the Trevi GM. lol

I have both the mono artsy MM and the empreinte artsy MM. I tried on the mono artsy GM and it looked huge on me. I'm 5'8" and love big bags but still could not see myself pulling off the GM so I do not have any regrets. The MM is the perfect size for me.

There is an Artsy gm in both the monogram and azur. In the empreinte line it does not come in the gm.

Unfortunately, you didn't read the thread or you might have noticed I already said apologized already for a brain freeze when I read it as alma rather than artsy. Was reading on my iPhone and didn't have my contacts in. Thought she was talking about the alma. It's a few posts further on where I mentioned I read it wrong. So not an "I gotcha!" moment, just a couldn't read little print moment. LOL! Just read the post wrong. OP sorry again since someone didn't notice the first apology!

No apology necessary! I saw your explanatory earlier post already. No worries! I wasn't upset or offended at all to begin with. All is good!

I saw this mentioned briefly before in a different thread, but it had never been mentioned to me before by any sales associate. When I called LV customer service asking about Mono GM and MM Artsy availability in my area, the rep informed me (unsolicited) that the Artsy is not a shoulder bag. He said the Artsy in either size is intended as a hand-held or forearm bag and not a shoulder bag. He said many wear it as a shoulder bag, but that when it is worn as a shoulder bag, it can prematurely age the handle due to abrasion, anti-perspirant, sweat, etc. I can't imagine the GM being used regularly as a hand-held or forearm bag due to its size. I thought this was interesting. My intention is to use it only as a shoulder bag!

That is very interesting. If LV knows that wearing it as a shoulder bag can cause damage, why would they market and advertise it as such? That's like a car company marketing a car as an off terrain vehicle knowing that dirt or sand can damage the vehicle?

I'm convinced that the MM is the "right" size for me after trying on both today. It was big enough (and then some) to hold all my stuff. I have my sights set on this as my next bag :sneaky:

Yes!!!! I am so glad someone posted this. I got the MM and was so upset that I didn't return it and get the GM. I love big bags. I just don't find it big enough for me. It's pretty crammed in there, but for some it's just right. I just should have known better since I usually always get a GM.

can you compare delightful mm and artsy mm? please :)

Well I actually had the GM first, loved it and wore it for a year and about a month looked in the mirror with it on and hated it. It seemed way to big. I gave it to my mom and purchased the MM which I love to pieces!
