I have two moni moni splendors and I love them!!! I have the rose and the olive. Both bags are a great size, I guess I got lucky.

I bought one in black, full retail price. When it arrived, I think I had it out of the box all of 5 whole minutes before I packed it up to return. The stitching was broken in some areas, and ran "off-track" in some other areas. The front pocket was so wrinkled up into almost a ball that there was no way it would ever flatten out, even a little bit. I looooove distressed unstructured washed leather bags, and am a huge fan of the Linea Pelle Dylan line for that reason, but the LP Dylans seem to be much better made.
For $200, you might as well satisfy your curiosity and try one out (I have found thru experience that when I want something, I have to try it out for myself in order to decide, instead of going on people's opinions). There are some huge fans who got some wonderful splendors. Mine was a dud, but that doesn't mean yours will be.
If you buy it and find you don't care for it, maybe you should try a Linea Pelle bag from the Dylan line. I bet you will love it!

Thanks for that, that makes alot of sense. I decided to wait and see new things moni moni comes out with in the later seasons and ended up getting a linea pelle dylan patchwork speedy on sale!

I ordered a black splendor last year and it didn't look black, but very worn. It looked so wrinkly as if it was in a time capsule all this time. ( and not in a good way) Perhaps I just had some bad luck, but I returned it ASAP and got a Rebecca Minkoff.

I, too, am a HUGE RM fan, and now don't see myslef buying anything in the near future that is not RM...

oh, no! I think I have become and RM whore! LOL!

grkbella: I see from your signature that you bought the LP Dylan Patchwork White Speedy. When you get it, make sure you spray the heck out of it with Wilson's TLC Leather & Suede Protector Spray. It will keep it satin and water proof. You want to make sure that gorgeous white washed leather stays nice and bright!

they were actually out of white and i got offered the black in same price, lucky me because I was scared of using white.

looks like you're one of the few on this thread who's still around. I have a moni moni dolce vita. It seems to be similar in size and shape to the splendor. There are a couple of Splendor bags for sale on Posh but I haven't been able to find out if the handles are the same. My bag will fit on shoulder with the handles. Can you tell me if the Splendor is the same or do you strictly have to carry handles on your arm and use the shoulder strap for shoulder carrying. Here's a pic of my dolce vita for reference. thank you
