Modalu Pippa - tell us all!

I've had a fixation on this bag for quite some time now. They are available locally at a reasonable $275 CAD but always go on sale (various price points depending on colour, seasonal, popularity). Somehow I only managed to amass 4 in my collection (only 4) but in a fit of purging and household cleaning and re-org, I consigned 2 of them early August. I tried to get them back yesterday and today but I finally got confirmation that they already sold. I bought both on sale but still...regret giving them up now. Both were full size Grab Bag: azure blue & rose red (soft warm red). Sigh.
I don't really know where to post this under but it's really entitled "Bad Shopping Experience" which is super rare for me. One of the reasons why I became such a shopoholic is because it's just plain FUN.
I suddenly got Modalu back on the brain and it was easy as pie to phone 3 Town Shoe stores to check on stock. Well, the Town Shoe South Granville store has a clearance section and gets old stock from other local Town Shoe stores and sure enough, they still had the Azure Blue Pippa on sale. Over the phone, the SA said this one & the black croc rang up at 191.98 so I was happy and asked what time they closed?
I have followed the Azure Blue Pippa bag: Canadian msrp 275, it first went on sale for 209, then 199 (it sat at 199 for a long time; I imagine most colours sell out but if not, it continues to go down; the lowest I've seen is the nubuck mandarin for 136 but I digress). Ok, long story short, I walk in to buy the blue one and I'm happy to see signage and stickers about Extra % Off Last Ticketed Price - I'm a shopper, I'm used to such signs and I know what they mean. The first SA proceeds to tell me about their New Sales Policy which means the Purple sticker means 20% off original MSRP which makes the bag higher than 191, so she said she'd honor, basically, 30% off which is what 191 is approx.
But she walks away and everybody walks away from the cash desk. I'm standing there ready to PAY and everybody walks away from the cash counter (two tills). So I look around to ask if I can PAY! Long story shorter, the new owner tries to sell me the bag for 220 + taxes and I basically go WTF? So I tell her that the signage really means 20% off the last sale price! (Purple is the lowest at 20%, the next is Green at 30% off and on it goes). Anyway, she lets me have it for 191.98 + taxes but at this point, I'm still really thinking "What is going on here?"
Nonetheless, I pay and walk out feeling awful...driving home I had a feeling I would just return the bag tomorrow because this little incident was so stupid that I don't even want the bag any more. I mean I truly already have a ton of gorgeous handbags and I just consigned this exact same Azure Blue bag after carrying her for less than 2 months (but I was really keen on cleaning out my closet and my collection at the end of July so I consigned it).
What do you make of these sales tags? Do I just keep the bag now having paid 191.98 + taxes but never shop there again? Or do I simply return her, walk away and never shop there again? Either way, Town Shoes has totally gone downhill - the new owners are crazy and I know it's a franchise but I'm sure they must be upsetting all their customers. South Granville shopping district is lovely, upscale and quaint but today, I felt like I was shopping in some cheap mall in Hicksville - not nice at all. This location used to be Freedman Shoes and it was a fantastic place to shop for higher end shoes with wonderful professional service...I hate this store now. I'm sorry for the rant...

I just ordered the black Pippa which I wanted last year.
I know it is not IN anymore but I still love the design and how convenient it is for work. I think it is one of my "most used" bags in the past 3 years.

I love my Pippa! I've carried it off and on over the past few years and still love it just as much as the first time I bought it. I've been meaning to order another one in a different color, but I haven't decided which one yet.

I'm thinking of the new blush color.
If not, then I'm considering one of the shades of brown. I'll definitely have to watch for the next sale because Modalu seems to have really good sales...Modalu definitely has good work bags. I've been looking for a good work bag recently because I graduate from college in May and will (hopefully) have a teaching job soon. I may have to buy my second Pippa just for work because I love the organizational pockets.

Guess what I just brought home!? I finally took the plunge when I saw a gorgeous, preloved tan Pippa Brogue AND, by "a happy accident" the BF was getting desperate about finding me a great gift for my bday next month. So, after skillful and not-so-subtle clue dropping he got me the bag. So it's more like HE took the plunge and I get to enjoy the result.
It was a real bargain - 85 euros and there's really no signs of wear. It's so pretty and just the right size.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance to dig out my camera!

I have 2 Pippa bags. Black Saffiano and Tan. Both are the grab bags. I love them.
