Michael Kors MK Smythe Dome Satchel

I got this one from Macy's Shop for the Cause sale. It's the first non-Saffiano MK I have. I really like the color and the size. I love the silver hardware and the detail of the zipper. Still deciding about the texture and the material. Does it need to be treated in any way to protect it?

Pebbled leather is very durable. I have had some of my pebbled leather bags for decades and they still look great. It cleans off easily with a good leather cleaner. There are many good products you can use to treat, protect and clean. I use a combo leather cleaner and conditioner from "The Chemical Guys' . I see many others here recommend this 'Apple' treatment? Don't be afraid to use the bag, before treating. It will be just fine. NICE bag!

I just wondered since this bag has a different feel to it than his other pebbled leather. Almost a film of some sort on the leather

Hmmm...can't imagine what this 'film' could be? Unless it was already protected with a conditioner of some sort??
