Just received my Large, black pebbled leather, Smythe bag today and am so pleased by it.

The back of the bag:
The black pebbled leather has a slight gloss. Not too shiny but enough to make the bag look a bit special. It's a very structured bag and comes with a shoulder strap but frankly I don't think this style is meant to be carried with a strap.
This little detail surprised me. A lock:
And you open it like this:

In the beginning, I wanted the LV Alma because I loved the style but searched for alternatives with a more reasonable price. The Smythe is perfect; there's barely a logo on this bag and you can remove the medallion too. A scarf around the handles would be a good finishing touch.
