Same here. Unless the outlet has a version I prefer (like the Jet Set top zip), I rather buy from Macys on sale.
There's an MK Outlet in Mebane,NC at Tanger shopping mall. I have yet to go myself, but a few friends have made several great finds.
Every time I go to that one (closest mk outlet near me in durham) I never find anything good
I wish I lived closer so I could frequently check for sales ! LolI went this past weekend to the Grapevine Mills and Grand Prairie outlets in DFW... It was pretty disappointing. Pretty bags, but the prices were about the same as buying from Dillard's or Macy's! The wallets were about ~$50 cheaper but I was looking at the Jet Set totes - which ran at $198.. I've been getting my jet set totes at department stores on sale for $139 and $148, hence why I don't buy at outlets
I fell so in love with my bag at Dillard's that I didn't even try to find it for cheaper elsewhere. I spent all weekend looking for my IT bag so when I finally found it, I didn't try to hustle for it.
But I know Macy's was offering 25% off if you bought it pre-sale, etc, so I wish I had been able to go that route. If you found your dream bag, it doesn't always matter about the deals. Enjoy! I know some colors/styles sell out before sales and some don't so it can be a gamble.
I went to Woodbury and the one in Jersey Gardens and they are legit however they have similar styles like a normal MK Boutique... however I will not recommend buying MK bag from the outlet because it's about 10% less than a typical MK bag... MK outlet never or hardly carry the new arrivals bag and bag tends to be lower quality than the MK bag you see in Macys or retail stores.... I would pay the original price for a better quality....... plus MACYS, L&T, Bloomingdales, etc always has 25% which is a sweeter deal... Don't let the name outlet trick you
Plus if you get it home and decide you don't like purchase from outlet, you're stuck with getting only store credit. No refunds

If you ever go to Woodbury Commons in New York (there are direct bus rides from grand central station), that's a fantastic shopping destination. I would make a day trip out of it. There's an MK outlet there among many other stores. Love the deals you can find in the outlets. It's really cool.
