Mixing metals

You should probably return the items and stick with the metal you seem to prefer and feel most comfortable in wearing or you will regret it.

I am the opposite of you and only like things that are rose gold or yellow gold and don’t like white gold items.

Correspondingly, I like my handbags with gold accents and not the steel look so I strictly avoid items with that look.

I don’t like to mix metals either. Go with what makes you most comfortable and feels like “you”!
Thank You! I appreciate your objectivity and thinking the same! I just can't get used to the way yg looks on me

Hello guys, I’m new into cartier I finally saved up some money to get some cartier bracelets, and I honestly don’t know which one to start with, love cuff, ecrou, just un clou, I want to build my stack eventually buying these but not sure which metal as I’m a guy, and I have watches that are both steel and gold :) I would appreciate your opinion thanks !

Personally, I like the white gold, more of a steel look, on men and think it’s a good start, but I think it’s whatever metal you feel most comfortable with wearing.

I would suggest trying different styles on in-store to see what suits you best!

I think what you're comfortable wearing and what metal color you like with your skin is most important :) I generally prefer white metals for myself as yellow gold looks bad with my skin. Other people rock yellow gold and it looks great on them!

Though I usually prefer white metals for myself, I actually ended up with a rose gold Love. The white gold Love with diamonds was just too much super shiny rhodium for me. I'm not into mixing metals right now, so if I were to get an ecrou or JUC bracelet to stack with my Love; I'd get them in rose gold too.

highly recommend trying on different pieces in different metals to see what you like on yourself. Good luck!

I'm also a guy. As Chaton suggested, I think a WG Love bracelet, or cuff is a good place to start for a man. My first was a WG tradiitonal Love bracelet; I'm not a fan of the cuff. I have since added a YG traditional on either side of the WG. Makes a nice looking stack. I tried a Clou but didn't think it was my style.

Like everyone said, you’ll just have to try a few on to see what looks best. That being said… I think the WG Ecrou looks amazing on men. Good luck! Post pics!

Thank you all for the input, only thing worrying me about the WG is that I always see it beaten up, as I have two friends that have WG love, and it looks so old not sure why. I’m going for the cuff due to my lifestyle, as I’m mostly out on sites and traveling a lot, so I prefer something to take off easier.

You can bring your wg cuff to Cartier for cleaning. It makes a big difference. Only takes a few min. I did that with my Love Bracelet

Does anyone mix PG and YG? I have all PG, but considering adding a YG piece. If anyone mixes YG and PG, I’d love to see your stacks!
I just tried out this stack as I've received the chain Love yesterday. Personally, I don't find them go well together. The bangle is YG, the chain is PG.

BUT that could be my skin tone in effect. In real life, the YG blends better on me. I mean this stack is ok. Just not "perfect" like if both are YG on me.
Therefore good if you can try at store as it really depends on your skin tone and preference.

As much as I want to mix metals because it looks so cool on others, I’m not sure I can pull it off. Thanks for the mod shot!

Yes I agree it's always tempting for me to mix when I see others do that. But it just doesn't sing to me on myself. PG looks really lovely and soft on me, but only when it's alone (or paired with other PG). Once it sits next to YG, it kinda looks secondary.

however, have you considered mixing WG with YG? This is something I haven't given up lol.

I’ve actually tried adding one WG bracelet (10 diamond Love) to my 3 PG bracelets. It looked out of place. Maybe if I added a second WG it would look more cohesive.
