Okay, question of the century....NOT! I thought maybe I was seriously either loosing my marbles or maybe I had too much time on my hands....in any case, my brain cells have come up with yet another obsession to worry about....matching hardware....

You know - okay, your Koala wallet has gold hardware...does that mean you might steer away from an agenda that (gasp) has silver hardware?

I mean, where do I come up with these ideas? :confused1: I really would like to get 2 agendas. One is a Mono Medium with gold hardware - that's going to be my daily grind agenda....then I'd really like to add an small Epi Agenda to the mix but oh no - all the hardware is silver....:shrugs: Or even worse...when I'm wearing my black Epi with silver hardware, does that present a problem when I pull out my gold-hardwared wallet?

Anyone who shares in this oddity, great - let me know.
If not, please tell me that it's okay and my OCD problem really needs to be addressed.....but that's another thread......

TIA.....

Sorry to say but yes...I need a wallet with silver tone hardware. I have the Epi soufflot in blue (silver tone hardware) and my next bag will be the Epi Alma which will have silver tone hardware. So I guess after the bag purchase I'll need a new wallet:push:

The problem for me is that a lot of purses have the gold hardware, but I CANNOT stand the look of yellow gold jewelry on me. So, I'm a faux-pas when I have a white gold watch and yellow gold hardware on my purses. I honestly don't think people are going to look at the hardware on my purse then look at my watch/jewelry. I'm put together regardless. It doesn't bug me in the slightest.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't have a problem mixing and matching hardware? I do wear a lot of silver, but I don't mind carrying a bag with gold hardware (my Eva has gold hardware, and I often wear silver rings and a gold watch). Also, my Coach wristlet which I use to store small stuff inside my Eva is all silver: The hardware and the wristlet itself. I'm stupid like that, but I guess I just don't care much, really.

Eh.

OMG I thought it was only me lol, I too have this problem lol. Usually I just am anal about charms though, not so much matching accessories like a purse with gold hardware and a wallet with silver, but I have a black Epi Passsy with Silver Hardware and for Halloween I tried attatching my Groom ronde for the Orange/Black halloween look lol, but the groom has golden hardware, lol suffice to say I refused to walk out of the house like that... couldn't bring myself to do it, I was seriously thinking I had become a headcase. :push:

I totally don't mind too much mixing and matching JEWELRY but I mean like more about the hardware that comes with our beloved LVs.....like say if you had one of your bags have all gold hardware - let's go with like say the Galliera - would you mind having an agenda inside that say, had silver hardware...? You know? ;)

OMG, I am like this. I cannot stand myself. lol I have been trying to talk myself into thinking that it is perfectly okay to mix metals, but it is soooooo hard. I have done it, though, but all I thought about was the fact that my metals didn't match.

As a case in point: I have a black Motard Biker that has the gold tone hardware so I wear my gold jewelry. So I'm thinking I also NEEEEEEED a black LV bag with silver/palladium hardware and that's where the Cube Speedy (if it is structured) or the epi Alma comes in so I can wear my white gold and silver jewelry to match. So crazy!

Yes, attaching charms with opposite hardware colors is also a problem for me too. I had that problem when I tried to attach a Coach keychain with a silver key ring on a Coach bag with brass hardware. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

As for mixing an agenda with silver hardware with a bag that has gold hardware... like I said before, I really don't care much about it. I would hate to force myself to buy a bag that is all silver hardware just so my agenda can match it. It would be too much of a hassle and a waste of money for me. And you're really the only one who is looking at them. Not everyone else.

And most bags do sport the gold hardware like Trixieboo said. But I'll be honest, I don't mind mixing silver with gold, at all. And I mean in terms of SLG's and Bags. But that's just me.
