It depends what it is. I wouldn’t put a monogrammed charm on a different brand of bag. Or a DE charm on a bag that wasn’t LV. I only have LV charms so I’m not sure how I would feel about putting a non-LV charm on an LV bag. If it was a generic one or subtle charm from another designer I guess I would use it with my LVs if I liked it!

A couple of days after I said this… my partner returned from a business trip to Kenya and brought me back this beautiful handcrafted leather tassel charm. I think it goes beautifully with my DE Beaubourg.:love:

I used to be a "purist" about mixing brands. It wasn't an issue when I only owned LV bags. Everything from bandeaus to wallets was LV. But over time, I have started to mix things up. One example: I LOVE my LV slgs, and didn't feel the need to buy cosmetic bags (etc) to use in my non-LV bags (although another favorite brand is Chanel, and I did buy a Chanel wallet - - my only non-LV wallet). I also use H twillys on non-H bags from time to time. May not sound like much, but I have gotten more flexible!:P
