I found this tonight :) I'm on the fence but I'm operating under the "buy now think later" mantra lol

Pretty on you! Keeper for sure :) Im so jealous that you always find great stuff...

i love it and it looks great on you! I have the same one!

Aw, thanks & yay for being hoodie twins :D

Get off the fence girl...it looks really nice on you! I think it's very flattering to your figure, maybe due to the length and zig zags, but I also thought the velour hoodie looked great on you and slimming as well. In fact, because of you, I think I have to make another trip to ebay, which I'm not pleased about. I've never even seen the velour hoodie or this one in person and I've certainly done my (more than) fair share of Target hopping.

*blushes* Aw, you're so sweet! Thank you for your kind words :D I like the length of it too and it feels cozy to me. Eek, I didn't mean to be a hoodie enabler lol Hmm, maybe instead of trying eBay maybe try the Missioni for Target Tracker if you haven't tried that already? http://missonifortarget.blogspot.com/ (I explain it more in depth below in my reply to rito511.)

Aw, thank you :D I actually found the blue hoodie by taking a chance on the tracker. I don't know if you've seen the website? tPF member Miss Kris made it. You can search for most of the items from the line to see if its available at your nearby Target http://missonifortarget.blogspot.com/

I saw that the tracker had "limited availability" for the blue hoodie so I took a chance & I found it... crumpled on the floor by the clearance racks :-\ lol

The tracker isn't 100% accurate though but if you're willing to take a chance there's a possibility. Sometimes the tracker shows things as "limited availability" but it's not there in store. Sometimes the tracker shows things as "out of stock" but it's there.

wow, u should keep it! lucky! what a great (ht) find! so nice the tracker was accurate in this instance +you've got sharp eyes! i like it better than the velour hoodie (which i'm keeping thanks to ur input  ), which looks great on u too! it seems really cute & practical, & since the 2 hoodies r different colors/textures/cuts u can get different uses/outfits (coordinations?) out of them? clever operating mantra too. :graucho:

Posted this in Outfit of the Day, but it belongs here too! Finally wore my gold shell and scarf! Together, their like an instant cowl neck...

gorgeous! love the pants, shoes, bag's complementary colors combo!

& thanks to everyone else for the great pics (rousseau, her cute dd, (kids r the cutest MfT models!), xanderbsb & others come to mind...)

I still cannot believe how great this dress and sweater set are -- I had to post a picture as I couldn't believe it myself. For reference, I am 52, 5'3" and weigh about 215. Both the sweater and dress are XL. I hadn't even tried these on, as I got them from separate eBay sellers but have noticed that things are turning up as returns. If anyone has been on the fence about this outfit, I would say go for it!!

You look great! I also have both of these in XL and I'm really happy with the way they looked when I tried them on. I haven't worn either of them out yet but I'm sure I will soon!

You rock Gia! Can't wait to wear mine either!

Gia, you look great in the blue outfit! I have the cardigan in XL, but have never seen the maxi dress in my same size to try on. I was afraid it wouldn't glide over my hips...but now I'm thinking it may work after all. You look fantastic in it! Wish I could try one on!

Enjoy your dresses, you lucky girls who have one!

Keep checking the stores! I just returned an XL so you may be able to find it on clearance (better yet!)

The reason I had the nerve to post the photo was that the fit of the dress was amazing -- it totally glides!! I have weight in my legs and thighs and it was as though I had gotten a Missoni couture item in exactly my size! I am absolutely an XL -- I wear a size 14 in most jeans and a 16 in brands like Talbots. I was not wearing Spanx or anything like that in the photo, just an everyday Lise Charmel bra, and the shoes are Jimmy Choo gold flats. I still can't believe that Target got Missoni to understand what XL *meant* in the US.

Other than the chiffon blouses (which did not fit me -- too small in the shoulders and bust), I have been able to buy almost all of the clothing on eBay without having to try it on. 100% of the knits have been fine. Even the strappy black and white one looked great when I used is as a skirt under a black turtleneck.

So if you're on the fence at all, please give this dress a try! The knits flow perfectly. Most are lined and not a single one has pulled. The photo is not great (flash, using a cameraphone and my bedroom mirror), but you can see how straight the knit is without pulling. And I really do have heavy legs. It was like 40 or more pounds just disappeared!

I bought a Missoni sweater in Paris in 1985 --it was one of the larger sizes they made, but there was no way I would even try to pull it off at my current age and size. Last year I did my bedroom in Missoni Home, and at Christmas gave the sweater to the wonderful 25 year old sales girl who helped me pull everything together. I had practically hoarded that thing for over 25 years, and then decided it needed to be with someone who could wear and enjoy it. I was absolutely certain I would never again own another piece of Missoni clothing. Between the price, my size and my age, it just wasn't realistic. So I couldn't be happier seeing the line magically appear at Target. Talk about Karma...

Thanks to all of you -- I've loved reading the Missoni Target threads, and am sad they have been slowing down. The last time I went this crazy over a collection it was Perry Ellis Portfolio in 1982/83!

Gia; I guess there is a reason Missoni is so successful with their designs & knitting. Ha-ha. It's so fun to be able to collect some pieces, and like you said, they actually fit. I even love their blouses which I didn't think would flatter me (the b/w zig zag and purple floral). Yet they fit like they're custom made. Anyway, thanks for the tip on this dress. I'm so glad the line magically appeared at Target!

AzureArtist; I'm still frequenting the Targets so I will definitely be looking for returns. I was ready to give up since stock has slimmed, but now I'm inspired to keep looking for things.

You really look fabulous in this outfit! I love hearing your Missoni story from the 80s too.

I think looking great has very little to do with how much something costs. I can't imagine another Missoni piece looking much better than this outfit on you.

And I would love to see your Missoni Home items. :graucho:
