Just want to say thanks again to everyone and the kind compliments given. My daughter was taking the pics with my phone and every time I would come out in a different outfit, my son would say,"don't you think that dress/skirt is a little short"!!! I am sure I will be wearing the dresses with tights mostly, but it's nice to know that I don't have too!

I think if you wear the clothing confidently you don't have to worry about the items being too short. I see Anna Della Russo in short short short things all the time and she's not a teen. She wears them really well and so can you!! Perhaps try some opaque tights. :D

Damn. Now I wish I would have ordered the pouf. It is super cute! As for the formaldehyde I seem to recall reading that all particle board furniture - for example just about everything at ikea - gives off formaldehyde. So when we furnished our nursery we went with solid wood. But I would just look into it. Then again it is a little freaky all the chemicals in this collection like the lead warning on the suitcases.

Does the stoneware have lead in it?

These are not clothing items but I thought I'd post here too

Brown chevron duvet set
On our king size bed, used the duvet cover as blanket since it is still hot where I live. I will put a down comforter in when the weather gets cold

In the world today, EVERYTHING is toxic. getting out of bed in the morning is hazardous. I cannot get worked up about formaldehyde. though around kids is entirely another issue, and you should be commended for the thoughtful use of solid wood furniture.

As for the idea of the pouf's cheapness, WHAT THE HECK. I have $1600 chairs and a $99 Ikea dresser. some things are mainstays, some things are meant to get tossed after hard use. not particularly green, but c'est la mode.

That Duvet cover is GORGEOUS.

Loving the duvet set! How thick is it since you're using it for a blanket?

It is thick, like having 2 layers of flat sheet. I love duvet covers more than comforters since you can use it as blanket on warmer days, then insert a duvet/comforter when it gets colder.

am slightly worried about the formaldehyde thing. and as for the fabric quality... I have looked at the high-end Missoni poufs. they're just cotton. this was $79. it's not an heirloom piece. it's a bit of fun for a couple of years.

seems like formaldehyde is commonly applied on pressed wood products for furniture made for indoor use. It should dissipate throughout time... I wouldn't worry about it ;)
