Here are a couple of sweaters I managed to get photos in. (Please excuse the leggings, I was trying my new boots out as well.) I wish the second cardigan was longer. I've tried it on several times and never been 100% about it so I'm pretty sure it will end up going back. Wearing the men's sweater in a small. Surprisingly kinda like it, but again not in love. Trying to do the "would you have purchased if it weren't part of this collection" litmus test.

I REALLY like the men's sweater on you! I even like it with the leggings and boots -- I think it looks great!!
I agree that the striped cardi is a little short, but maybe if you paired it with a looser, flowing dress or even left it open over a longer Tshirt or tunic and leggings it would look OK.

I ordered that same cardigan in an XL after hearing how small it ran -- who knows if I'll even get it, but I wonder if the XL will be longer in length or just bigger in the body and longer in the arms

And I dunno -- this may be going out on a limb -- but what do you think of the hoodie with the striped dress? The colors are the same, but the stripes of the dress are more narrow than the sweater -- does that make it wearable or is it too much?

I think both dresses look perfect on you! I bought the striped dress on Saturday and I love it. It's a bit short for me though. I'm thinking I will wear it with leggings.

I think this looks great on you!:) THANK YOU for posting! I'm supposed to get this same dress and I hope it looks as good on me!:) Is it comfy? I already have the sweater that goes with it, but I'm not sure if it will be too bulky. I'm prepared to wear the sweater with jeans if it doesn't work with the dress. I'm wondering if you could wear some kind of shirt underneath the maxi if you didn't want bare arms. Time for experimentation!

Received two of the dresses I ordered and I could use some HONEST opinions.

When I first ordered the Maxi Dress, I ordered my normal size - a Large. But then I started hearing that a lot of the dresses ran large & since I'm such a shorty to begin with, I thought maybe I should try the Medium (maybe it would be shorter than the Lg). So this is the Medium Maxi Dress (the Lg hasn't shipped yet - don't know if it will).

I really like the dress, but I think I'd love it more w/the long cardigan it was shown with (which I ordered but haven't heard anything about). The dress is long, floor length, but if I wear heels it'll be fine (and even with flip flops or flats I think it'll be OK -- I've seen people wear maxi dresses longer than this one is on me)

I don't think it's too small -- I think the Large would be TOO big, but I wonder if it's too snug around my hips/bottom. I know it's meant to be a body hugging dress, but is this a good look for me? Does it just make me look fat/huge or does it look OK?

I really like the hoodie but I would not wear it with either of the two dresses. I would just pair it with black leggings or jeans and black or white tunic or t-shirt.

Great thread! I love the modeling pics - getting some inspiration on how to wear my pieces! I scored TONS of Missoni last Tuesday (Seriously, I may have gone a bit overboard...) I'll post some modeling pics soon!

Hi everyone, loving the pictures! I played around with the zig zag dress. What do you think?

what a cute way to wear this dress! i LOVE it!!!

Thank you for the compliments on the dresses!:tender:
The more I look at the pics of the Maxi Dress, the more I like it -- I'm just not so sure I like it with the hoodie. I think the hoodie might be too casual or sporty to wear with that dress. I have other black cardigans I know I can wear with it -- I also have a Navy leather jacket I think will also look pretty good (I just wish I'd hear something on the long navy cardigan!)

Ironically, I was looking at the original pics that Target provided and they actually paired that striped dress with the hoodie, so I guess I could wear those two things together -- I don't think it looks that bad, actually (I like it better w/the striped dress than the maxi). I still plan on wearing it by itself with a Tshirt or Tunic as well -- in fact, I wore it today!

has anyone tried getting L/ XL clothes from the girls department? how does it fit? I am only 5'2" and was thinking of ordering some cardi and dress online from the girls department...does anyone know if it will fit me? Thanks!

The L striped cardi was okay, but to get more length out of it, XL was better. (I didn't get to try the purple zig zag one that's also avail for women. The cardi I tried on was the turq, yellow, white striped one).

In terms of dresses, XL in the sleeveless pink zig zag was very do-able as a tunic only. It just covers my bum, and it is too fitted on the bottom to pass as a dress. The colore brown, blue, orange zig zag tank dress worked in an XL for me (as a dress). If you have a more ample bum or allover curves, then I think it'd work better as a tunic. As you know, sizes were very limited in-store so I didn't get to try this in a sz L for comparison's sake...that being said, I have a feeling the L would fit, but it'd be relegated to tunic purposes only. ;)

I can see where it looks snug, but it doesn't look bad at all. Of course, it'd be ideal if you received the L so you could do a direct comparison, but well...we all know how that's turning out.

Oh, and for me personally, I wouldn't pair the hoodie with the maxi or short sleeved dress. I'd just feel self-conscious about too many zig zags/patterns. :blushing:

Today's outfit, with the pumps. Got tons of compliments! {xposted in plus size ootd thread}
