I ended up having to return the whole bag for a refund as they could not offer me a replacement strap. Crazy.

This is my fear! I know how these things go…it will get shuffled around etc and then I’ll be outside the return window. Plus out the strap. Maybe I should just return now and save myself the hassle.

the chain does not (just the louis Vuitton). Also, interestingly enough the strap did not. But the extra black strap I purchased was MIF and both the coin purse and strap had it stamped on each. Maybe the khaki straps that came with the MPA was not MIF?

The khaki and rose straps that come with the MPA set don’t have made in stamps. Only the bandoulières bought separately (black, khaki and LE khaki/rose, blue/magenta and macadamia), have/had made in France stamps. The pouches and coin purse should tell you where the set was made.
