I just received my second ever Matinee this evening and would love to crowdsource some help identifying the color. The leather is very smooth and structured, the pull-ups are light tan suede, and the lining is black and white floral. Shelby thinks it's Elephant, and I'm inclined to agree after digging through the reference threads. The inside needs a light wash, and the pull-ups have some green discoloration from resting against the zippers. Does anyone have a suede cleaner recommendation?

For fun, here's my new Mattie alongside my other brown RM bags. On the couch, top row: unknown MAM (harewood? chocolate?), new Mattie, dark brown suede with GE trim MAM. Bottom row: Dusty + silver spot Mattie (95% sure that's the color), Fawn MAB Luxe that has Seen It All, GE MAB.

The unknown MAM is my favorite! That’s the one that got away for me!

She arrived today and I was surprised to see not one, not two, but three different colors of hardware. The huge brass clips on the side help the bag to hang beautifully, but I've never encountered mixed metal colors before. Is this a known phenomenon? Or did the seller cannibalize multiple bags into one? I bought it to be a project bag so I'm not mad (I've already removed the handles), but now I'm even more curious. What say you, oh wise ones?

The clips are brass, but in the first bags the rings were only brass plated, so the brass just wore off. After those bags, she began using brass for all of the hardware.
Pretty bag! Looks like saddle to me, it was a very soft leather.

cute! we saw foxes in our yard one time at the last house we lived in. I was told my the local wild animal org they won't bother cats. I'm sure they won't tangle with dogs if they can help it. same with skunks. we had baby skunks and baby racoons at that house too. Where we live now we've only seen lots of rabbits, squirrels and an occasional coyote. Lots of birds, including Roadrunners. neighbor said they saw a bobcat.

Ladies, may I ask what year this 5 Zip bag was made? I just purchased it. :smile: I looked at the lining reference thread but this lining wasn't pictured there. Also, why is it called a 5 zip of there's only 4 zippers?.. If it matters, the tag inside says "Made in Bangladesh" and "100% genuine leather".

Can't tell you when it was made though one of the more recent ones.
Originally, there were 5 zippers, she never changed the name.
It's so pretty!
