I think her comment is incredibly rude and if I was in your position, I would have been very upset.

If she ever comments again, I think I would say something like 'listen, I know for a fact that my ring is x ct (whatever size it is), I dont know why you are querying this or what you're trying to insinuate but I think your questions are very rude and uncalled for'

Dont get an upgrade if you love your ring! She's just obviously a catty ***** :p

Rude! And an ignorant comment. Especially since she was insisting in it. Typical know-it-all comment of someone who tries to make it seem they know more than they really do.

Very rude! I wouldn't have even answered when she asked the first question. I would have said I'm not comfortable discussing size but that if she loved mine and wanted to know how much bigger mine was than hers so she could try to get an upgrade that we could discuss it in private later. I am shaking my head at her (because I of course am too polite to shake anything else!)
